The other Rental Companies do not look for every small dent or scratch. enterprise makes mor off their high pressure insuirance and time looking for the least scratch. The majors such as Hertz and Avis are more customer oriented and not looking for something to charge you.

If its under 4 inches then my understanding is that they dont persue it how it shouldnt affect the resell value..That is why we have that stupid ass clipboard with the circle and ruler

The branch obviously did repair it and does have the right to pursue for damages.

Depending on the scratch, I know that in my group 36, we are pretty leiniant about damages. Especially if its on the valance. As long as its not cracked or badly dented, we understand scracthes will definitely be there. A lot of small damages are considered reconditionable.

You're absolutely correct. I worked in 36 too, and we always told branches not to repair minor damage that doesn't affect resale value. But, once the damage is repaired, loss control has no choice but to pursue for damages.

i hate damage there because although i am very thorough im not perfect and many collegues are less perfect :)

pay the eighty bucks... i had a lady on DNR from six years before and someone else hit her and that company only uses erac for rentals and guess what|? she refused to pay and i told her enjoy those nike's while ur car is in the shop :)

just be more thorough next time and consider this... yes the erac employee certainly could have missed it but so did you so oh well live and learn!
