To the guy who seems to be so immature here, you need to get a job or something. For you to have nothing better to do than to cut people down, you have too much time on your hands. No wonder you don't work there anymore.
To everyone else, no wonder the company has the problems they do. They hire unfriendly people like this.
(oh, to you, mr . time on your hands, don't worry about coming back at me because this is my last time on, so you will just be talking into space. Just remember, you show your immaturity when you make posts like you have.)

Actually, Mr. Immaturity showed you that your complaints were misdirected.
Honda overpromised. Your son is not an angel. Enterprise is short staffed on weekends. Big Deal, get over it.

The rest of your complaint are "if this happened' or 'if they did this" - well they didn't!!!!! Get over it and walk next time!

PS - I hate erac but I hate whiny customers more.

I sincerely doubt that this is your last time on here so I will respond. You are generalizing a company for the actions of one branch. Being that you don't know the way the branch runs I will give you a quick update:

Undocumented damage hits the branch directly so it behooves the branch to make sure that they document all damage and issues with vehicles from the customer end. Do they do this all of the time? No and are the manager sometimes shady and try to pass that onto customers? I am sure that some do. Again there are millions and millions on transactions done on a yearly basis and on this website there are maybe a few hundred complaints of misdoings by ERAC employees so as a percentag goes that is not too bad. There are over 6,000 branches yet again only hundreds of complaints (if that) so to say "The Company" wants to scam you out of tires is stereotyping. Now, if you take my sarcasm as 1) seriously caring about your feelings and not just being an ass then I am sorry you are such a literal person and 2) think that the 15 minutes per day it takes to type a response is all the free time in the world then you need to get a grip on Time Hiro (That was a reference to Hiro from the TV show Heroes).

I must ask though. Isn't it hypocritical to tell me to get a job because I am on here too much yet you are telling me this DOING THE SAME THING!!?? I have a job, I do very well for myself and the fact that I have a job that affords me the time to do things like this and still be successful actually shows that I am good at budgeting my time and I have given my self the autonomy to do what I want when I want to. Not tooting my horn just stating a fact. I am sorry that the ERAC branch tried to get over on you but what I get mad at is when people generalize a company by the actions of a few (Admin will probably chime in and say that it happens all the time pretty soon) when the case is that it doesn't. Oh and the fact that they did drop the case shows that someone was doing their job, probably the loss control person, when they realized there was no evidence to go after you. Did you ever think to thank that person for being honest and handling that situation or did you decide to come straight to this message board and bitch? Do you have reason to be upset? Of course but being that it was handled and you were relieved of responsibility you also have a reason to be thankful as well.

You should have picked a better first husband, that way you would have someone around who could help you with a crisis such as renting a car.

Why would they not send a bill to the insurance company? Because they could not prove any problem!!!!!!
What is your son's deductible? I would put money on it being $500 or more. That information would have been given when the Enterprise representative talked to his insurance company. In that case there would be no reason to get the insurance company involved since the customer would be responsible for the first $500 of damage to the car.

As previously stated, tires are not covered by insurance.

the son only drove to and from work, huh? heard that one before. maybe erac should have laid out a red carpet for you and told the other customers already at the counter a VIP was arriving and they should all bow their heads.

Ah, good ol' admin rushing to defend the customer.

One thing that always amused me when I worked there was when customers didn't allocate enough time or cut things so close to their perfect schedule and then get all pissed at enterprise when things didn't move to their pace. The first part of this customer's post is ridiculously riddled with stupidity. Perhaps this person should have taken a couple of time management courses instead of coming to your site???

They can also blame themselves and the dealership for not making enterprise aware of the fact that the renter was only 19. Then they would have informed them to bring their insurance card. The kid is lucky he even got a car. At my old branch, if a direct bill was not already set up by the insurance company for an under 21 renter, then no car.

As for the tire damage, I'm sure someone screwed up and then someone else eventually caught the mistake and dropped the claim. It is that simple. It is highly doubtful that it was a scam, but the administrator has an unbridled passion for the dramatics, so scam sound better. Majority of the customer service issues I saw stemmed from lack of proper training of employees and good ol' fashioned miscommunciation. This "horror story," as I am sure it will be eventually called, is a prime example of both.

What they really really hate is non-sense like this nut. Any curreny or former employee will tell you that if Enterprise messed up they will fix it and some level or another. Millons and Millions of dollars are refunded and waived every year to deal with problems that arent even Enterprise's fault. Find me another company where a customer signs a legal contract and then at the end says " didnt undersand or I didnt need that" and the company doesnt make the customer pay. Its women like this and the other nuts like her that make a job at enterprise so hard. I love the irony that this site only exists because of current and former employees and you have to apologize to that 1% of people who come on here to complain. If you dont want people to attack these "customers" why not take out all the other forums and leave up only the ones where customers can complain? I mean is this site really meant for who is banging who in Canada?
