Last spring I went home for my oldest son's wedding. Since I flew I had no vehicle and with all the running, getting ready for a wedding, we were running short of rides. My youngest son had a one year old Honda and had been having problems with it. (Another story on that fraud) Anyway, the car was purchased with my ex's name, since my son was 1 month from 18. He, ex, was not willing to go the extra mile to make sure the problems were fixed, so I was determined while I was in to get it taken care of. I had bought 2 cars there so I knew the guys. I took the car in and rented a car from a different company. Honda was supposed to be finished that afternoon. The day before the wedding. Well, it so happened that the car was not ready, but it would take another week. This was going to leave my son with no way to work, 2 hours away from home, for a week. The Honda store was given no option but to rent him a car. We were told that the next morning, the car at Enterprize would be ready at 9:00 straight up. I explained that it had to be because I had to get the other rental back or would be charged. We had the day planned with no minute unaccounted for. We got there. Only 2 employees on site. 2 other customers were getting taken care of. I explained the situation and was told it would be a few minutes. I had to have the other car back at 9:30 or would have to pay another $55. When they were dragging their feet I told them that I would have to go and they needed to pick me up. Their reply was "we don't pick up customers!" What? And what is the main advertisement? "Enterprize, we pick you up." Anyway, I left, slightly unhappy, knowing I had a wedding in another town in 5 hours and appointments all the way, I ran to the other agency. Honda had to pick me up and take me back. I got there and there was no one waiting. I got ready to sign for my son, because he was 19 I was told he had to have someone to co-sign for him the day before. The young guy then tells me that he will not rent to him because he is underage. I got on the phone with Honda. The guy explained why and said that Honda had to give this kid a car. Then the employee says,"It is Saturday and without the insurance card", which was in the honda, locked up, "I can't know for sure that he has insurance". Duh, he owns a brand new Honda, with no insurance? The guy from Honda is on the phone and explains that Allstate is a pretty big company, and he thinks that for sure they have a 24 hours number to prove he is insured, DUh!!! The little employee says "I don't know how to find the number on the internet" Boy was he out of his league! I told him I would get over there and find it for him. He evidently sees that he is not going to get by with it and gets them on the phone. Finally after 1 hr, we go out to the car. One little dent was found, but then left in the car. The next week the car was delivered to Honda and his car picked up. THe honda rep told the pick up guy that if there were any problems to let him know. Never called back. About 1 1/2 months later my son gets a letter from Enterprize stating that he would have to pay for new tires that he had completely ruined them. What, in a week? He had only driven to work and home for one week. I called Honda to see if anyone signed for damages and when I finally talked with the right person he told me what he had said on pick up day and had never heard anything from Enterprize. This had been over 2 months later. They had no proof of damage!!! This went on for months. They never called his dad, who the insurance was listed with. They somehow found my son's little girlfriend's cell phone number, still haven't figured this one out, and asked for my son's number. It was not given, but they found it anyway. (They had no way of knowing his girlfriend's name. Scary isn't it) After months of threatning letters and calls, his father finally gets a letter, the first after 5 or 6 months, stating that he would have to pay for damages. Now that he was involved, (only because he thought he would have to pay) did he take action. Enterprize would never call the insurance company, for some reason. When his dad went in, he told them when they gave him pictures and proof of damage then he would look into it, but not until. When this employee pulled up the record on the car, there was NO DAMAGE TO THE TIRES ON THE REPORT!!!!!! The insurance company never heard from them. Now, if I were part of this, legally, in my name, I would take them to court for harrassment. Tell me this wasn't a scam

Where was the "scam"? Do you mean that Enterprise, a multi billion dollar company was scamming you for tires that would cost them $75 to replace? It sounds like the dealership overpromised you something they had no control over. Now unfortunately there were people ahead of you at the branch and most if not all offices run on a skeleton shift on Saturdays and sometimes they don't pick up on Saturdays but did you confirm with the branch before going there on Saturday or did you leave it in the hands of the dealership? If you left it to othe dealership then unfortunately you were wronged by the dealership mostly and then the ERAC next as it sounds like the employees may have been rude to you "of course most of the time customers embelish that to make them look more in the right". Now you are also saying that Honda is "scamming" you as well because the car is having problems but did you know that not all cars are perfect? Did you know that during mass production sometimes things go wrong? Did you know that tangible products, regardless of manufacturing processes and TQM do not all come out running exactly the same? Your son is 19 and unless you rode with him the whole time he could have messed up the tires in a week. Its called peeling wheels in a rental that is not yours. Lots of people do it. __________________ "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt"-Abe Lincoln

you must work for Enterprize!!!!!!!!!!! First, they were charging $300 for 2 tires. A little more than $75. Why would they not send a bill to the insurance company? Because they could not prove any problem!!!!!! Did you forget the last part of my post???? There was NO problem!!!! They lied!!!!! Just because you may not trust young people doesn't mean they are all dishonest. So your post just doesn't fit!! They are a dishonest company. Do you not read the other post??? And for your info, there was a proven problem with the honda. There was a major defect found, and even though proven, the company didn't want to acknowledge it at first.

Great to see you've gone from arguing your point to justifying your participants' posts. Now that's funny. Do I sense a backfiring?

I don't know why you feel that you have to apologize to this person. I understand you feel that they are a customer but for them to come on this site, read other postings (which he/she claimed they have done) and then not expect backlash is ridiculous. You don't control the people on this website so you have no reason to apologize. __________________ "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt"-Abe Lincoln

To the nice guy who responded, believe me, I understand that these guys are taking up for a failing company. First, the guy must not have been able to understand what he read. There was a series of problems with this company. For him to not see that they were trying to lie and get money for something they obviously had no proof of shows what kind of company they are. If they would have succeeded in taking it further, which they would have never done because they had no proof, they would have been in hot water for false claims. Hey, we could have gotten money from them! OH, shucks, anyway. I do not care what he thinks, but interested in letting others know to stay away from this company if at all possible. I just happened upon this site and appreciate the one who placed it here. Let's us know that we are not alone. To the guy who seems to be so immature here, you need to get a job or something. For you to have nothing better to do than to cut people down, you have too much time on your hands. No wonder you don't work there anymore. To everyone else, no wonder the company has the problems they do. They hire unfriendly people like this. (oh, to you, mr . time on your hands, don't worry about coming back at me because this is my last time on, so you will just be talking into space. Just remember, you show your immaturity when you make posts like you have.)
