I'm sure I know you.
In fact I first prepared part of that presentation with PM and BF on the cost of DW 4 years ago.

The reality is it had no real value branch to branch or group to group.
It provided us a tool so we could justify a cost of DW but it didn't always work out correctly. Essentially it was just a way to come up with discounted cost of DW to corporate renters. RVP's and GM's often got pissed at this calculation b/c it was so hard to justify as some branches with ridiculous reserves lost money on DW each month anyways so in fact we should have charged more for DW, not less.
That is the only point I was trying to make. Didn't mean to piss you off.
You are correct - it was Freidman, not Heywood.

I guess I mis-calculated a bit, it was more like 60-70.
For 4.5 years I gave virtually every grill in or group due to a
variety of reasons I won't bore you with.
Sorry about that.
I want to know more about you Grover, you were an LCAM?
Did you attend my presentation in Orlando LCAM break-out meetings
4 years ago?

And Yes AMNEX does pay for 100% of the damage. So it is a great product.
The only way you can continue to push this arguement is if you loss sense of reality and only see the world in green.
Many of our customers are renting through an insurance company or dealership. Amex coverage (if you read the find print) is void if you do not put the entire rental bill on your card. Many customers are under the false sense of security that their card will protect them and that is clearly false. Working at a branch that is 90% replacement I have never once seen a credit card cover for damages. They make you think that you are covered and then screw you later. If you ask me AMEX is the one doing a diservice to their customers.

I just love the replacement rentals where they say "my CC covers me". They look at me as though as I am lying when I tell them it will not. I have even heard customers tell me, adamently, that their Bank of Clown Debit Card will cover them. What a joke people.

I had a customer who totaled a car and refused to fill out any accident reports, etc. "My CC covers me". Well thats nice Mr. Clown, feel that way. You still have to fill this out and WE will bill YOU. Noone seems to understand.

One of my branch managers told me to tell customers with no insurance that they HAD to take our protection. THAT SIR IS A FLAT OUT LIE. Why don't you read the disclaimers hanging on the wall at your branch. It clearly states that ERACs protection is not needed to rent a car.

yes that is a lie but if they cant afford full coverage, how can they afford to pay for any damage to the car? its similar to if you went out and financed a new car... the bank makes you carry full coverage on it because if u were finacially able to buy it, u wouldnt finance it... its for their own good! LOL

cdw is great if something happens but a waste if not right?

so paying my insurance company every month is a waste too right?

I loved to rip people off selling cdw. There were so many idiots out there i could pressure and scare them into taking protection. I had over a 110 "package" points every single month.
