If you consider that when working in a rental branch you do a lot more than just sales. You work with accounts receivables and payables. You also learn great marketing skills that you don't learn with many other employers. This includes marketing to existing accounts and also setting up new accounts with local companies that work in the auto industry. You learn to grow your business and you also learn to manage an office full of employees. Probably the best thing about working for the company is that you don't work with stupid people like you do at many other companies out there. Other career opportunities that you can get into with enterprise. Selling cars Working in accounting Working in Human resources Working in loss control Working with large insurance companies These are just a few of the many opportunities available. Tell me how many companies have an average retirement age of 45 years? This is retiring without a pension, this is retiring wealthy.

Because as long as there is a glut of college educated kids with liberal arts degrees or low GPA's that can't find work anywhere else they don't need to pay them much. Part of their business model is to have high employee turnover and be run by younger and motivated people so they don't become top heavy with a lot of old guys in upper management making a lot of money just because they've been there awhile.

Because there is always some jackass to step in and take his place making no money..why pay you retards more money when they can just replace you with another retard

"How many companies have an average retirement age of 45?"!!! What the fuck are you talking about??? To retire somewhere you must stay there more than 5 years, which from my time at Enterprise made you an old timer. Since the turnover is so freaking high this "fact" is garbage, its akin to saying Mussillini made the trains run on time so he wasnt that bad. If you take the number of people who have and do work currently for Enterprise and divide that by the total number of 45 year old retiree's I bet you'll be somewhere around 0.0001%. Not exactly the odds someone wants if they are willing to devote their lives to a company. This is the same type of propaganda when you hear 6 figures in 6 years. By the time I hit 6 years (jesus I know, 6 years but I wasnt motivated) the number of people from my training class other than me were 0 out of 12. The people that I recoginized (and were worth a damn) at a Christmas party dwindled to the point I could count them on one hand. If you have no better prospects, take the job get a check for a while then bolt...though if you want to think about retirement and dont have a degree that opens doors then try a skilled union trade, I did that after Enterprise and loved it, plus the cash was well worth the hard work. But remember you'll never be running your own business, that implies an ownership stake in your operation or at least a franchise, the cash goes to the Taylors and the laugh at you while at the opera there in St Louis...financed by you by the way...

I'm a little curious as to why I always see ERAC in articles about great places to start a career, but never once in an artivle about being a great place to either have, or end a career. Take what you can out of ERAC and then leave. Luckily I was able to do that before my hair went totally grey or I had a stroke. The day that I told them I was leaving was the best day I had with the company. That and I got to be a dick to everyone for my last week.

This Monster job description says nothing to the effect of the only avenue of promotion is selling damage waiver regardless of how proficient you are at everything else but unless you sell CDW garbage, you are nothing and cannot expect to be promoted.

I can attest to the six figures in six years! I worked for ERAC for one year...left for a job in merchandising for a large wine and spirits distributor, worked my way into sales in 2yrs and within 2 years after that I was earning over 100k That adds up to five years!

Alot of e-chimps pn this site will claim salaries in the 6 to 7 figure range. Don't fucking believe them! These area managers live with 2 or more roommates and are late paying their cable bill! Don't believe the hype! __________________ "Now there's only 3 things in life I need Money, safe sex, and a whole lot of weed"
