I currently work at pizza hut as a driver.

You can't bitch about driving in bad conditions until you've delivered pizza.

this job is dangerous considering you have to repo a car in the ghetto. I know an assistant manager that got shot because of drive by when he was looking for a car. ( he's ok now)

And there's one time, an area manager got beaten up inside one of the ecraps branch here in the southwest (I mean beat up!). Because she was trying to get the key from one of the customer thats not supposed to be allowed to rent from ecrap.

and that's not dangerous? everytime you have to put your life on line is dangerous you idiots!!!!!

I think it is a really safe job. I don't see why you people think it is so dangerous!

The job is what you make of it...

Feel threatened or uncomfortable, let someone know in writing...

they ask you to do it again, post it to HR and your local employment board...

if you somehow find yourself out of a job. CONGRATULATIONS! you are looking for a new job faster, and you might be able to sue

This job is by no means completely harmless.
Cab drivers have a dangerous job? Well, I remember pretty well that on certain days I felt like an effin cabbie driving people everywhere. Not to mention pickups in the ghetto-like areas. You go to houses of people you don't know. There is always a risk mixed with that.

You drive in every condition, rain, ice, you mention it. You drive non driveable cars to mechanics because your branch wants to save the towing costs.

Anyone out there have a good story on danger working for this supposed "100 best companies to work for" or heard if anyone was killed from "going the extra mile" for their idiot ARM. I think ERAC is a bunch of crap.
Hurricanes and blizzards? I doubt it. Bilzzards I can believe, but hurricanes in New Jersey? Lets be honest here, how often does that happen?

Actually, I was in a hurricane once in New Jersey. The damage wasn't serious, though.
