You'd be surprised how often it happens. My point primarily was stressed upon the fact I was attacked by a junkie for repoing his car. Attacked! Injured! That's something you don't hear ERAC talking about in their interviews. And being that their health benefits are extremely below par, I pretty much paid for the entire time I was in the hospital. I'm in sales now, so I am driving all over Jersey. However, if the weather is not drivable or if the company I'm selling to is surrounded by a bunch of thugs, I'm not going putting myself at risk. ERAC puts you at risk constantly when you have to pick up customers in every type of weather. Not to mention, the customers themselves. They could be insane. I picked up a customer once drunk off his ass and he tried to steal the car from me after I refused to take him to the office. This job is dangerous, more so than any other organization I have been involved with.

What about the fact that we'll pick people up at their homes... some of the places I've been to were very "texas chainsaw massacre-esque"... a little freaky considering someone you pick up really could be a murderer/rapist, whatever

I guess it all depends on the area that you work. I work in a city that doesn't have a "ghetto". Of all the people I've ever picked up there was only a couple that were not normal... they just liked to talk about their cats. I’ve never been asked to go out and REPO a car so I can’t attest to those problems.

In California we have a branch on the border of Carson and Compton (yes Compton, The Gangster Rap Capitol of the world). At that branch all the ERAC workers were Mexican or Black which compromises the ethnic population of Compton. However, there was one goofy looking white guy who used to work there. They would send this guy to the Projects of Compton and Watts (another ghetto) to do pick ups. This obviously was not a smart idea. A few basic safety procedures were given to him, such as not exiting the vehicle to pick anyone up and not doing any pick ups after sundown. However, in these areas where crime runs rampant it is definetely dangerous to be picking up people there. Car jackings did occur out there and ERAC employees had to walk back to the branch or get picked up themselves. Not to mention repos everywhere.

I agree with you 100%. ERAC does not care for the health and well-being of their employees. My manager forced me to drive a wrecked vehicle to the body shop while the airbag was laying in my lap. I called the Area Manager and he asked me what my branch manager said to do. Further more they hire and fire people like crazy but yet if you want to leave they want to prolong it and take your last ounce of energy and self respect to give themselves time enough to use you up and throw you out like a worn out whore!!!! All I have to say th the "BIG GREEN DICK" is give me my money and let me go.

Did you ever see Eazy- E or Ice Cube by any chance? How about Ren or Dre? Anybody ever pick up Yella or the DOC? Come on people it could be worse. I live in North Carolina and we get bit by dogs here- at least there's a chance you'll see a celebrity like Snoop or Warren G. Tell the goofy looking white guy he needs to be a little harder.
P.S.- if anyone sees Korrupt or Daz I want to know immediately!! There's a pretty good chance you won't see Snoop or Warren G. because they are always sayin "you can't see me." Tupac also said you can't see me, but he is in Cuba, so you probably won't see him either.

Um, Eazy-E passed away in 1995. Chances are, the person who wrote the previous post was not working at Enterprise before that. So, no, they probably never saw him come into their store. I guess that little North Carolina ankle biter did a number on you huh?
