3. Call a tow truck and get the car towed to your branch or a car dealer
4. Get a key cut.
5. Charge the customer for the key and window (if there is any money left on their pre-paid card that you wern't supposed to take to begin with)
6. If your branch or area manager gets pissed, tell them that they can go repo the car next time.
I started doing this after I had an encounter with an unhappy renter who was down on his deposit.

I am a chick and I don't want to get shot at in a bad part of town and I am sure you don't want to be either. My way of doing repo's always works.

Anytime you are sent out to the middle of no where to pick up a total stranger by yourself you are putting your life at risk. Everytime you are racing against the clock because of the pressure to be on time because your point person isnt planning ahead or there just isnt any cars you are putting your life at risk.

i don't know if the actuall job is so dangerous rather the potential to become dangerous. there is huge criminal element that uses erac cars for various crimes - bank robberies, drug running (huge), transporting bodies (yep, happened at my office). has anyone paid any real attention to where our offices are in large cities? i have seen offices from baltimore to miami, from chicago to memphis located in really dangerous areas. why is that? just take a look around some areas that are in the cities. not real nice. whoever wrote the comment about cops is absolutely true. almost always in a rental. good thing we went to college to serve the dregs of society.

Default Top 100 is a scam

They made the Top 100 list because they planted folks for the questions. They made sure that the company asked the employees that would give positive feedback. From a former employee.

Default Re: SC employee car jacked and the company withheld info

There was a female employee in the Myrtle Beach area who was picking up a female customer from a local motel. When she arrived to pick up the customer, the customer used gun and forced the employee to drive her where I don't know. The employee was smart enough to start speeding to draw attention. The customer/crackhead then asked the employee what they were going to do. The employee (thinking on her feet) said wait here and I will resolve the situation. The employee stepped out of the car and approached the police car. She let the know what was going on.
ENTERPRISE FAILED TO TELL OTHER employees of this situation. A customer told me about it several months later. What a responsible company.
