Bull shit! Unless you are a fucking repo man no employee should not be going to a customers house to repo a car. First of all, when an employee rents a car to a customer they are not required to bring a picture of their house to you. So when the customer does get down money and an employee has to do a drive by they don't know if the house is a fucking crack house. I know that many managers that I worked under would tell me not only to drive by the house, but even if the car wasn't there to knock on the door. If the person in their is on something, you don't know if their paranoid ass is gonna come out shooting. In my time that I worked for that piece of shit company let me give you some serious incidents that happened:
1. 5 armed robberies at 5 different branches
2. Bullets found in a car that was repoed by an old lady
3. One of the managers found a gun under the seat of a car they repoed the night before.
4. A customer threatened to kill all the employees at a branch because they owed the branch money. The branch manager tricked them into coming in, and when they did, repoed the car.
5. 2 employees went to a tow yard to pick up a vehicle and a guy came in with a gun, pointing it at the tow yard manager and everyone else, threating to kill them.
6. An customer pulled a gun hidden in a car on an employee
7. To me personally: a customer told me he wanted to drive away and have sex with me, when I was in the car showing him where all the options were...later I found his picture on a sex offenders registry.
8. a Manager telling an employee that if a customer owes money and they have to go repo a car that the employee who wrote up the contract HAS to do the repo!
And you say to suck it up, its part of the job. A police officer doesn't see this much action on a midnight shift! I am waiting to hear that an employee dies from doing a repo, because I guarantee it will happen.
