What would happen if they knew.....

We were opening a new location and the City refused to grant us an occupancy license because the electrical fuse box was on the wall right next to the car wash and needed to be upgraded to a box that was waterproof. So, instead of paying an electrician $1500 to come out and replace the box, my regional manger unhooked the hose to the carwash and told the City Inspector that it was inoperable and not used with our business. Of course, once we had the license they re-hooked the hose and it was business as usual.

Report them to the state.

that is what is completely wrong with that company. putting employees at risk the company at risk and your own integrity as a boss for 1500 dollars because everybody with their hands in the pie will lose 200$ that month in commission. everybody is a liar and selfish at that company with ZERO integrity.

Olathe, Kansas. My manager at the time told us to be very carefull. He warned us several times that we could get hurt and that he was working on getting it fixed. He ended up quiting 2 months later and nothing ever got done. They eventually closed the location because it was performing so poorly. GPBR 0554 For those koolaid drinkers who don't believe. Look it up.

I have a good one along similar lines. We had an outdoor car wash (no roof, bay etc.) and this was in Ontario Canada....so cold and snowy in the winter etc. We used this old shop vac to vaccuum the cars and it had a badly frayed cord that would end up in puddles, snow etc. and many times we would forget and get shocked when we used the vaccuum, or stood in the puddle and grabbed the hose. It was terrible, and we complained so the manager told me to buy duct tape and fix it. The best part of the story is that our area manager stopped by and decided to back to his roots and help with a car cleaning. He grabs the vaccuum steps in the puddle and screamed like a school girl throwing the vaccuum hose against the wall. He was pissed!
