The move to Tulsa was made to centralize operations...previously National was based in Minnesota, and Alamo was in Florida.

Of course, the little known fact is that Billy-boys wife is the Mayor of Tulsa.

you are right. national was in minnesota until it was moved to ft.lauderdale with alamo. they then moved to tulsa for some lame excuse of tax breaks. in any event they'll be nothing left of the vanguard headquaters in tulsa fairly soon. loebeck is a real creep.

The idea for a sales position is to earn enough incremental sales to get a better paycheck. Of course the base pay is crap, that's why the incentive system is there - to entice the rental agent to upsell and get coverage/fuel/GPS sales!

I work for Vanguard in South Florida - we have several rental agents clearing $7,000+ a month during season and even over $3,000 off-season!

Now, being paid salary and salary alone to rent cars? That's not a good fit to me.

once u become enterprise they are not rental agents anymore they are mt's whichget paid 10 bucks an hr and no commison, u are required to sell damage waiver, shake everyones hand, a wear a shirt and tie, all the time, say so long to making bank u will start at the bottom and try to work ur way up , and the only way to do it is to lie and cheat so u can be on the top of the matrix which is how u get promoted,

welcome to enterprise,,

That's why Enterprise's business model is genius. They get overqualified people to work for less money. The smart ones leave, the dumb ones get weeded out and the middle ones get promoted. The Taylor's are seriously geniuses.

the National brand enspecially has a lot of brand equity, with corporate business customers. large accounts like Motorola, GE, ect.. the Enterprise brand represents something different to business customers at airport locations. the value the Enterprise brand represents doesn't mean as much to a busy, running late, corporate executive who just wants to be handed their rental contract while marching from the terminal to the rental car. the corporation they work for is paying for the rental, so the Enterprise value gets missed, enspecially if they are waiting in line at the rental counter on a busy Moday morning at the airport.

WOW, if there is any truth to this I would like to hear hoe ERAC is going to handle this.Which if there is any truth to it I look forward to hearing about all the people leaving Vanguard because ERAC has cut their pay to poverty level.
Which then will give this site even more postings discussing how bad ERAC is.

Stick it to the man
