| It certainly doesn't appear that there is a need to go public. By all accounts, Enterprise has no problem with obtaining financing on a massive scale. They will likely just assume the debt in place at Vanguard. I think it is safe to assume that Enterprise enjoys a much better debt rating, so the old Vanguard debt would likely be replaced in time with something more favorable. I don't really think the normal motivations for going public such as raising capital, market timing, etc. necessarily would dictate the directions of this company. Being privately owned by a family that is likely set for generations, I would imagine that tax and estate considerations play the largest role, followed by personal motivations. If that is the case, it would be difficult to predict which way they will go on this issue. |

Given ERAc's track record in the accounts department - certainly in the UK - I cannot see this happening until ERAC pays market value for accountants. I don't believe there are many (if any) qualified accountants in the UK arm, not that this is illegal. If the company decides to float it would be a strong recommendation that they take on qualified (not qualified by experience) accountants and Financial Managers/Directors/Officers. SarbOx, USGaap and UKGaap requirements are unlikely to be met given the structure of the company. However, if it does float it could well mean that given the 'unique' practices inherent from the ground up in ERAC that the Taylors are liable to prosecution and imprisonment a la Enron. I can't see Andy wanting to open himself up to that possibility. __________________ Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |

how does such a large company as ERAC promote the head position strictly on nepotism (sp)? this cannot be the best way for a company to be run and your "float" shit, is that euro stuff? never heard that stateside |

| You really think ERAC will go public following on the heels of the Hertz IPO buyout debacle and the drama that's going on over there? 1500+ people getting laid off in a massive restructuring, private equity partners taking on millions of dollars in debt to line their fat wallets, and then brining a weakened Hertz back to market saddled with debt for a new IPO that nobody wants to buy? This would be a terrible time for ERAC to go public. |
