I agree that this has gone on another tangent... And my 'discussion' with BubbaAHole has taken on a new life, one that I'm kind of getting tired of myself.

But a lot of message boards do, not just FE. My suggestion is to not read our posts. (And my suggestion to myself and DumbAssGump is to take this to another thread). If it makes you feel better, I will heed the advice of my aside and stop this on THIS thread. If BozoGump wants to continue from here forward, I will gladly post replys on the Miscellaneous thread.

I called ERAC and told them I was going to put some oil in the car they said that was fine. The next day the car did the same thing so I pulled over and called them again. They sent a tow truck to pick the vehicle up. 2 weeks pass and Loss Control calls me and says I threw a rod in the engine. They told me I got water in the engine somehow and that damaged the car. It didn't rain the whole time I had it, drove it only on the highway, plus I live in Kansas. I'd have to drive it into a lake to cause that kind of damage. Come to find out, they changed the oil at 23,617k, rented the car to me at 23,811k, and I barely put 50 miles on the car before it starting acting up. I have no idea what to do. Somehow the oil service facility has to be to blame. Do I file a claim with my insurance company or do I get legal representation? HELP!!!
Seems really weird to me. First off, the "oil can" light should have come on if it was low on oil, so the fact that the "check engine" light makes it seem like it wasn't an oil issue. If water got into the engine than whose to say that the last person who filled up the car didn't put water in the gas tank.

I don't know if the service facility is to blame or not, the important thing is that you are not to blame. Remember, ERAC has no proof of you physically putting getting water into the car. I would make ERAC take you to court over this. You may or may not want to consider talking to a lawyer, more than likely it would just be filed in small claims court. Good luck.
