Default o.k for customers; employees get the shaft

On two occasions, I rented car from Enterprise, which was paid for by my repair shop. It was tiresome to to listen to the sales pitch for additional coverage; even after I told them my auto insurance covered rental cars for an additional $6 a year. On one occasion, I took a car which had an almost empty gas tank, as I did not want to wait for it to be filled. Another time, I got a car that was 1/4 full. I found it difficult to bring cars back with same amount of gas; so I probably overfilled by $5 or so each time. Other than than, the experience was good. Refilling much easier when I rent from Avis or Hertz, as they give you a full tank of gas.

I am sorry for the Enterprise employees who have to wear a tie, clean cars, get ridiculously low wages and work overtime.

They think they are saving money by not filling up the tank. I remember sending a guy out with the fuel light on. I am not joking, the light was on. The assistant manager gave that wonderful bit of wisdom, "work your magic."

I have never seen so mean a glare as that guy gave me as he got into the car.
