| Actually, a full tank of gas IS standard for Budget, Hertz and Avis-you can opt to bring a car with less gas and they will tell you at the counter what they will charge per gallon if you bring it back with less gas. |

| I believe the fuel policy is a very fair policy just bring the car back with the same fuel. Yeah it is not a perfect system but the world isn't perfect. Yeah when a car comes back with more fuel it helps Enterprise branches but more often than not cars come back with slightly less fuel and depending on the group/branch employees we sometimes don't even worry about it. Someone said every other car company gives out cars with full tanks. Well that simply is not a true statement. Most other car companies are located in the airports. Enterprise controls the vast majority of local business not airports. The difference at airports are that many of them have fueling stations on their facilities due to the large volume of business done. At airport locations all the branches I've seen give the custothmer a full tank and many times customers don't bring the car full coming up with some excuse such as I was running late or it wasn't full when I got it (which occasionally happens). Enterprise is not in the business of stealing fuel from customers they just want to break even and the high rate to refuel the cars when brought back lower is to make sure people bring the car back at the same level. Its integral for a business to think of the customers, but the customer rarely thinks of taking care of the business. How would the thousands of small compared to airport local offices support on site fueling stations. The money and also the hazards knowing many of the workers someone would blow up the fueling station somehow. They should fill the cars up somehow lets just take all the cars brought back below full and take them to a local gas station right away so every customer gets a full tank. Let's just add another 30-45 minutes to some customers wait time. I think that would be the best way to serve the customer Oh but you are getting a nice full tank of gas just wait another 20 minutes while my prep gets the gas then another 7-14 minutes to clean the car. JUST BRING THE CAR BACK AT THE SAME LEVEL. If it is a little lower or higher we usually don't even care or notice just don't have a 1/4 or /1/8 of a tank difference. Yeah its a little inconvenient because you actually have to look at the gas level a little more and stop at a gas station maybe a couple of extra times more than if you had your own car. |
