They gave me my vehicle with the tank one quarter full, and asked me to return it in a similar state. I asked them the MPG and the capacity of the tank, neither of which they could tell me. I had no way therefore of calculating how much fuel I would use on my journey. Inevitably, when I returned the vehicle, there was quite a lot more fuel in it than when I'd started. I complained to the staff again about this policy, but to no avail. I've been trying to get some sort of response from their help desk, but my emails seem to simply be ignored. I consider this fuel policy to amount to theft from the customer. I will be recommending to people in my area (Hertford, UK) not to use Enterprise for their rentals! | Remember that legally binding contract you signed when you rented the car? The little "fuel gauge" the ERAC employee marked the gas level on before you left reads "NO GAS REFUNDS". Are you really going to cry about a few gallons (or liters) of gas? If that was the worst of your experience, consider yourself lucky. Don't be mad at them because you failed to read what you signed. I'm not in any way supporting or defending ERAC, but you have a responsibility to understand what you are signing and ask question if you don't understand BEFORE you sign. __________________ When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace. -Sri Chinmoy Ghose |
