Probably not the way you think, though. Non-bigots don't ever pretend to be bigots. Only the hidden bigots act the part, and then claim they were pretending.

I don't worry about bigots, though. I really don't. I have a good job with a six-figure income, a 27-year marriage and three wonderful kids. Every time a bigot says something to me that highlights their bigotry, I know I am living the life they most likely are only dreaming of, and I slide them a bit lower on the list of people who's opinions and views mean less than nothing to me. But I do enjoy pointing out the truth of their bigotry, which takes them down in a way that no flame, lie or insult ever could.

When you encounter true ugliness, just show it a mirror and watch it start screaming denial.

What does this have to do with being black, it sounds like you need a credit card to rent a car or be an additional driver.

Perhaps, but what's up with the four gallons short of a full tank? Did they just miss that one, or is this another move that happens a lot? What are other peoples' experiences with this?

Could you write the word "bigotry" a few more times? I don't think I got the full effect.

Dude i left you alone thinking we are at an understanding...if you now implying we keep a "black car" on the lot meaning oh lets give this to them that's silly, and now your just looking. Read all the message boards ERAC never fills up their tanks with gas...please stop posting now let the issue settle.

Wow, talk about being over-sensitive! That comment had NOTHING to do with racism, and everything to do with what might be wrong with ERAC as a company. Don't read into what is written beyond what is actually there.

If they give customers a car that is supposed to be full of gas when it is actually short by several gallons, someone is getting ripped off, right?

I mean, if I 'buy' the gas in the tank by prepaying and have them refill it and charge me at the end of the rental, I end up paying for more than I used. If I bring the car back full (and I was asked to provide a dated fuel receipt from a local gas station), haven't I been overcharged to the tune of $10+?

The question was, does this happen a lot?
