| Enterprise IS self-insured, in 48 out of 50 states -- I worked for ERAC for 5 years -- if you damage a vehicle, ERAC pays any costs to have it fixed -- but of course, they don't pay to fix anything unless they catch it, and even then it has to be something that would affect teh rentability -- so if a car was keyed, yes they'd pay for that, because nobody wants to rent a keyed-up car but grow up people, if you fill a car with diesel, or drive with the e-brake on, or put on old-ass tires -- don't you care at all that some innocent renter may lose their life or get seriously hurt, when the car breaks down suddenly? Causing a car engine to freeze up can kill people don't like ERAC? then don't choose them -- it's that simple |

| I agree. Not to mention that if the renter fills the tank with diesel or drive with the ebrake on, or put old tires on, that renter is still liable for the damages. |

| If you came back with the keys and said you lost the car that would prompt a police investigation. Whether you took full pack or not. No one "forgets" where the left a vehicle unless they were drunk, and that violates the CDW anyway. |

actually, just don't come back at all A) say you LOST the car, and don't remember where its at B) just don't pay for the damn thing C) or.. you could just, ABANDON THE CAR someplace and just walk away from it let THEM worry about it LOL!! |
| |||
| Once again, no one loses a car. They're going to ask where you left it last and if you try to evade the question they'll call the police. How do you not pay for the rental? ERAC takes your ccard when you pick the car up. They just charge it for what your bill is. If you abandon the car then you're responsible for any damages incurred before it's returned to the branch. You'll also be responsible for any tow or recovery fees. |
