I didn't like ERAC when I worked for them and I don't rent from them now. What I liked less were pushy-self righteous customer fuckwits like you. I had one customer that "worked the system" and he would call from his cell phone for an Econ car and show up 2 minutes later and wow, there were only full size or luxury cars on the lot. I got taken twice on his scam, but I learned.
What I did is rent the FS car to that yo-yo for a couple of days at the Econ rate and the rest of the rental was at the F/S rate. He was so excited that he was getting away with something that he failed to see that the rest of the rental was at the F/S rate. I took delight when he turned in the rental, because he hit the ceiling when I ran the charges. He screamed like a baby and he threatened to sue me. I smiled and politely reminded him that he signed the contract legal and binding. Never saw him again.
One day you will and I promise, you will miss a detail or you will have a fender-bender in a rental. The MT will be more than happy in writing up the DX report and buddy you will pay. Shit if I were still working there, I would kick a fender panel myself.
Maybe a current employee will read this and take your F/S in over the long weekend/holiday and make sure it is the first one out the door to someone else the next business day. I would love to see the look on your face when "your" car is rented to someone else.

Go away, trailer queen.

I am currently in a 2006 Impala for $74 per WEEK. My whole posture says "cheapskate" and "small claims". Enterprise has never messed with me, I spend 30 minutes holding up the Enterprise employee on the pre-rental inspection. I take photos. With Enterprise, it pays to present yourself as a pain in the butt from the get go! I appreciate your site, it gives me things to be on the lookout for!

Your whole posture says "I'm a whining fag".

Another thing that is necessary to make long term rentals a good deal and avoid LDW is to buy "non-owned" vehicle coverage on an "insurance donor" vehicle, which in my case is my 1959 Chevrolet. Thanks to Enterprise, I keep my 1959 Chevy the jewel it's meant to be PLUS qualify for "parade and show" (very low milage) insurance rates which are very cheap. RENTING A CAR WITHOUT AN INSURANCE DONOR VEHICLE (running or not) is a waste of money.

My fist would like to meet your face!

Hey Toolfins, I have decided that I hate you. You are a cheap, grinding, manipulating loser and you have a old mucsle car that you think is cool so you are also a cheeseball. (think Will Ferrell in Wedding Crashers)
As stated before, you are hurting the employees that work there by manipulating the system in your favour and they would rather lose money than stand up to you and deal with your crap. Think about that, people in business are literally paying money from their own pockets to not have to deal with you...I repeat, paying money from their own pockets to not have to deal with you.
This must give pleasure to someone as insecure and pathetic as yourself who lets little victories like this stroke his ego. Just like driving your muscle car you need 'accessories' to define your coolness . You are not cool and a winner, you are a whiny geek and a loser.

Yep, toolfins depends on that old car to compensate for his shortcomings.

Lol, Marble, he hasn't quite realized that people actually pay him to go away... congrats Toolfins, people hate you so much they're willing to give up money from their own paychecks just to make you dissappear.

As I stated in my earlier post on this thread, you are getting a good deal so good for you; however, I would be careful. I may have misunderstood some of what I read here, but if not, I think you said that you rent for say a month at a time, but when specials are running, they let you close out the current contract to be able to rent on the special rate that is lower. Surely you know that they do not have to do that, regardless of what rates are advertised. Once you sign that contract, you are bound to it. Technically, and I would have to read the terms of it, you could be charged a fee or higher rate for returning the first car before the agreed return date. Maybe a current or ex employee could educate me on the terms and conditions in the ERAC contract. When you sign the contract, the rate only applies to the exact time period listed. Any change could result in changes to the rate.

I don't care what you think, but I can tell you that you are not a profitable customer. At some point, no matter how much you rent, they will realize they would be better off renting that car to someone else. The fact is that they would be better off renting to someone at a higher rate. My 2 cents to you...stop posting, remain anonymous and keep getting your good deal while you can. You keep posting here and someone in that branch reads this stuff, the ride is over.

I'm only here to see what other problems other customers encounter and apply "an ounce of prevention". THATS IT!! I'm not here "to get even","win" or "play a game". It's called spending wisely. Currently, renting a car from Enterprise is a money saver, when it ceases to be so, I will study what the is the next wisest transportation deal. Lots of acquaintances come to me when they are looking how to get the most for their money. I refer other people to Enterprise because it is the best deal. When something else is the best deal, I will do something else. I shake my head that these schmucks that act like spending money wisely is somehow wrong. Even when a client company is picking up the tab, wasting money just rubs me the wrong way. Even wasting Enterprise's money rubs me the wrong way. When a bulb burns out and it's only a couple bucks, I just change it myself. I make it clear that I don't mind a little legwork to save money.

If an Enterprise counter person wants to get rid of me, just point me to a cheaper deal with a competitor. Maybe their manager will be grateful enough to buy them lunch and even recommend them for a promotion. (Yeah right!)

If your point in posting was to help people save money then why did you feel it necessary to call Enterprise employee's "peons" and "minimum wage earners"? Post about saving money-great. Berate the people that are offering you such a great deal-well that just makes you seem like an ungrateful asshole. Think about it Tailfins.

By the way I agree with Marblecheese...I totally picture Tailfins as Will Ferrel's character in Wedding Crashers. A mid-forties, cartoon watching, still lives with mom loser who doesn't realize just how pathetic he is.
