Default Terrible Attitudes @ERAC

I rent cars quite often, about 20 times a year and have no real preference to the company I rent from. However, my recent dealings with ERAC led me to this site and this post. How can a company make a reservation and not have A CAR let alone the class of car I reserved? And to top it off, the female at the counter with zero personality and compassion gets uppity with not only myself, but everyone else in line! This was a not an airport location and I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance. I realize one pissed off person doesn't mean a whole lot, but when you piss off one it becomes many due to word of mouth. After viewing these posts, if 25% of what is said on here is true, how can ERAC survive?

it survives because for the most part, ERAC gets the job done.
the customer get's a car.
of course not everybody will be happy, and eggs get broken...hence, not every cs is gonna be happy, like yourself.
and ease off the poor gal bustin her ass while peeps like you are getting pissy and indigant. it is by no means her fault, the company likes to run "tight"
i.e having high occupancy. it's how they make money, which by the way is always been in the black, for it's mutli-year existence...her personality and compassion has been crushed by the ERAC system and how it churns and burns its employees.

Fuck that, the cunt was pissy towards me before I said a goddamn thing. i never complained anyways since it does no good most of the time. I simply never use ERAC again.

Because they rent dirt cheap. Try doing an online reservation with about a 10 day lead time for one or two days AFTER a major holiday at an AIRPORT location. You will often get cars under $80/week and SUVs under $140/week. Since they have an abundance of cars, you can figure on them having the car. You will be able to renew the contract for usually up to 6 months at that price! If you rent from the Atlanta area, you will be able to drive the car anywhere in the country.

I used to be that guy behind the counter. Hard to argue with someone having a reservation. in many cases this puts that person at a major inconvenience. They are going out of town, or maybe are going to be late for work. Erac bosses go bezerk if you are 5 minutes late and now you are making this person an hour late. How about those people that are flying into a different city and are told there is no car for them there. That has to be the most awful feeling. Think about that before you get on a customer's case. You'd feel the same way if your vacation was delayed because of the rental car, which you would think would be the most simple and insignificant part of the trip.

It's hard to believe that there is NO vehicle. It has NEVER happened to me. It's a RIDE for cryin' out loud. There has to be a van, a vehicle that needs an oil change or something sitting around. You can swap it out for something else later. Contrary to the screwball posters on this board, I have been received well at rental locations because all I ask for is something with four wheels and A/C.

if you're really that hard up for something with 4 wheels...

hell..

why not clean your OWN CAR when it's down time and wash it at the bay and be proud of yourself that you have something to drive.
That is unless you have your car in the shop for some OTHER REASON than a LOFR!!! HAHAHAHAH!!
