Very true. I wish people understood the only true winners of a lawsuit, are the attorneys.

I don't condone theft or stealing of customers property.
the epitomy of low class...i make every effort to return property.
but when the customer calls, screaming and blaming everyone but themself, i'm not gonna be as quick to help out, regardless of andy taylor.

That's human nature. Renters have to realize it's not the MTs fault they left their items in the vehicle, and if they scream and yell they probably won't get anywhere. On the other hand, MT's need to realize they're there to provide a service, regardless of how the renter treats them.

It's probably too late to post this response, but you should complain to everyone from the assistant managers to the group/regional vp. They may compensate you up to the rental amount, they may also try to offer you a discount on your next rental.

WHY would enterprise have to compensate for YOUR OWN carelessness? Its your fault for leaving something in the car, no one held you hostage or mugged you----so thus why would the company give you a free rental? You people are so pathetic

I lost my wallet with $3,000 cash in it at Disney World. I told the security manager and he just cut me a check on spot, ... no questions asked.

Get serious. Do you really think we can trust every bozo that says they lost something in a car? Maybe we can keep a few grand in each store to make up for customers losses.

Just like the Boy Scouts, ... you know, Scout's Honor.

I know it sucks, but we didn't lose your shit. And chances are the car was re-rented as soon as it was returned. About 95% of the time customers return cars for 'not running right' they just want a different car.

All the BM can do is ask. The BM can't dictate a search of everyone. The most likely scenario is that the customer that rented the vehicle after you took the items. That's the truth. When I worked at ERAC, none of the people at my branch would have taken a customers personal stuff. They would have put it in the lost and found. Our renters however, well, that's another story. But calling the renter stupid or making fun of him is just wrong. My guess is the people that posted some of those comments got fired from ERAC, and probably will have difficulty finding employment anywhere. Who would want to hire a snake in the grass?
why all the hate for car preps, i really dont understand all the put downs and such, sure you might have had some bad car preps, but ive had some shitty MTs too, 3/4 of the car preps i know are just working to pay the bills while going to school.

anyway to the topic at hand losing stuff in the car is your own fault, im sorry that you might have lost it but its not our problem to look after you

hell i mightve just vacuumed it up while cleaning the car, stop blaming erac for your own stupidity
