I am a content new hire in 03 (aka the Atlanta area).

I've been reading this website lately and find most of it's postings quite humorous. I also do understand that putting that many cars out into the world, there are bound to be mistakes, and I also understand how people can not know when damage has occured to their vehicle. Hell, I was keyed two weeks ago. Do I know why? No. It was most likely a drunken teen who just got finished watching Saw III. I don't know...

Anyhow, I for the most part do enjoy my Enterprise experience. I have a stern branch manager who seems to push rate more than ESQI, but now I push rate and ESQI. He taught me how to do a better job at running a business. Is that bad? I am a people person and the only reason I ever get frustrated is when people do not understand that every employee everywhere at one point is new. I graduated college and might have picked the wrong major in college. I chose Sport management. I start off at Enterprise better than I would with most Sport involved jobs. Those Sport involved jobs I just mentioned are also nearly impossible to get.

I went through an excellent training program that had a great training coordinator. I am a part of a branch that does a very high volume amount of business. I am a part of a very classy group of individuals who avoid conflict, but are not afraid to take conflict. A rental experience is meant to make you feel a little better about the situation prior to the rental. I understand how insurance companies can be a struggle, and I hate how people who are claimants have to go through such troubling times. However, life is life and we all have situations that are not the perfect situation.

The setbacks of working at Enterprise rent a car..

1. Yes, I rent cars. I make someone's day better for helping them continue about their daily activies with a mode of transportation.

2. Yes, I wash cars. Am I that much of a little snob where washing a car from time to time really effects my emotions? I may be from Georgia, but I figure most people have had to do actual work before in their lifetime.

3.Yes, I wear a very conservative outfit to work day in and day out.
I wear a white shirt and tie to work -every- day. Does this get on my nerves? Sure, at times. But, I don't pull the ladies at work, so does the white shirt and tie get on my nerves? Nah..

4. I do deal with rowdy customers. Is this an unusual part of business? If negotiation and making the customer comfortable not a part of almost every profitable business in the lands, tell me now!!!!

To the customers with bad experiences:

I apologize. I sincerely do. I have no stereotypical backlash, but I can promise you if you came into my office, I would treat you the exact same way I would love to be treated.

Do I get frustrated at times? Yes. I hate you being mad at me and me not being able to make your day better. All you angry people who dislike the rent a car system Enterprise provies and wish to take business elsewhere, let me make this up to you by answering your questions honestly and thoroughly.

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to read through this..

I forgot to mention that I have been with the company for 3 months.

Yes, I have not witnessed every in and out of the corporation, but I have been lucky to learn the ins and outs of the office. I can openly say I have learned how to help running the office, contributing with call backs, the cash box, running reservations, running the daily, running the profits board and contributing with a positive attitude.

Once again, I ask you all to ask me questions you sincerely wish for me to answer.

Don't ask me why in Canada someone found damage on your vehicle. Ask me about Enterprise.

Thanks once again for taking the time out of your stressful day to try and understand why some of us new hires do enjoy the environment they work for.

Here here.. good post.

After being @ Enterprise for a while and then reading these posts, you can easily tell who actually has worked for ERAC and who's faking. 9 of 10 times the real ex-employees are fair reporters of the ups and downs.

What group are you in?

Why would anyone pretend to have worked at ERAC?

I work for the Atlanta group.

I enjoy it very much so. I have met all of the big whigs that make their careers here in Georgia.

I would tell you at the branch I work for, but I do not need the distraction of a good amount of people upset about accidents calling me trying to make themselves feel better about me feeling bad.

I guarantee you perfect customer service from myself if you ever visit my branch.

Running a fleet of cars when you are trying to stay maintained at a certain level does not "promise" you that 2007 Mustang you just reserved through Hertz, but I do promise you this..if you are in an area that does not house another rental company with the capabilities that Enterprise has, good luck at getting that navigational device and the 07 Mustang.

The qualificiations to receive such vehicles and enhancements are out of this roof by the way. I ask you to be a reliable person when it comes to taking care of bills and positive payments on what is normal everyday life. If you can not meet those qualifications, I will try to work with you, but if I canot personally entrust you with such an investment that will effect my branches positive out put, then I cannot agree to renting you such a vehicle.

I am not a big shot in the company, nor have I worked there for long. I am however an intelligent individual who has made a good career choice that has goals set to thrive in a corporation where goals are implemented.

Why should I disagree with the coverages the company offers? I think in all regards that protecting a vehicle you are in possession of is a an obvious choice. You must protect the things that can bring you life changing encounters.

Yes, I am kept up stat wise with sales, but it creates an atmosphere where every person in the branch wants the person next to you to thrive. If someone is pushing for a promotion, then why not help that person with a sale on coverage lead?

The damage waiver is a good thing. I have yet to read otherwise on that issue. Enterprise gives you the chance to waive any damage that might happen to the vehicle, your fault or not if you take the Damage waiver.

Can you go with your personal insurance coverage and is this optional? Yes, ofcourse. However, we waive any deductible responsibility, and give you the chance to walk away without worry of someone else causing you an accident where in the long run you will be responsible for.

Does Enterprise make money off the coverages sold? Ofcourse they do, but they also do take care of the people who are involved with accidents who take the coverage.

So many people say "If you take the coverages, you are treated like the golden goose"..

You know what? You are right. I love my coverage regular contracts, and yes you are right they move me up the totem pole. However, would I want one of my regulars to get into an accident, god forbid and have to work through their deductible and worrying about putting a claim on what I consider a good customers Insurace? No way.

Would I do it? I have to. It is directly related to my branches growth and the success the branch I take pride in's level. Would I enjoy putting my regulars and loyal completely satisfied customers through such a process? No way.

I don't make money on reporting damage to Loss control.

So, for all of you who think Enterprise has scams out to get you, they don't. Enterprises biggest scam is the fact we love dealing with making the customer comfortable and making them 100% completely satisfied with everything we try to do for them.

At all times. Do we have that specific vehicle you are in love with? I sure hope so, but if we do not..we get you into something better, and try to switch out the rate you are supplied from your insurance package.

I am a real new hire. I work very well with everyone I work with. I also am also completely satisfied with the corporate members I have met.

If noone who can believe I am not a MT, then I ask you to

I honestly take pride in what they do. To: the people complaining constantly about Enterprise, just give us a chance to make it up to you.

I enjoy Enterprise and I like the travel from home.
