Default Ontario CA / Seattle Locations

Ontario Location - provided smelly smoked-up car with stains prevalent throughout interior. After leaving airport noted that gas was "less than 1/4 tank". Had to immediately go to gas station to insure I could make destination. I took this car based on travel manager's "recommendation". Left jacket in car. Never Found!

Seattle Location - due to heavy Midwest storm I could not be in Seattle on first day of rental. Only wanted to delay pick-up by one day. Went to website to change pick-up date and rate increased by 35%. Sent email to CS and received non-sequitor replies - several. Avis provided at once even cheaper than Enterprise. Advised Enterprise CS of this and still - non-sequitor replies.

After explaining that my time is worth more than any "alleged" discount, contract terminated and now back to Avis preferred. No more delay at airport with agents trying to "upsell" and no more having to gauge gas refill to avoid additional charge.

Sweet, sounds like one more dickhead we wont have to deal with.

Choose a differnet car instead of a smelly one, airports have tons of cars to choose from.

You only have to bring it back with as much gas as it left with, now you wont have to stop on your way in to fill it up...ever think of that?

Its your fault you left a jacket in the car...if you really did.

If you're so afraid of someone trying to "sell you up" then i suggest growing some balls and staying at home until you feel comfortable telling someone no thank you to somethng you dont want.

merry xmas.

As a very frequent business traveler and car renter I have some useful input. The problem with what the counter dildoes at ERAC are doing (trying to upsell car class, repetitive CDW/PAI pitches etc etc ) iis that it SLOWS DOWN THE RENTAL PROCESS. Important, busy prosessionals like us simply do not want to spend the time it takes to go through all this bullshit with the flunky behind the rental counter.

Its much easier to "grab keys and go" if you're at the 'Preferred' level with Avis or similar level at other companies.

When I am at ERAC renting and the rental clerk starts his bullshit pitches, I quickly and loudly say "Not Interested...Move On". If the dildo persists, I say to him/her "Is there anything about the word NO that you don't understand? I TOLD you to Move On!"

Its sad to have to do this, but with the average intelligence level of an ERAC CounterCunt being so low, this is the only way to speed up the process.

Now you know!

Can't even begin to tell you how your flowery use and obvious mastery of the english language helps you appear far superior to the poor peasants behind the rental counter.
Although, you do have a point. If you're an airport customer and you're on business, you probably don't want to get the sales pitch ERAC forces counter flunkies to give you. My advise is to keep renting from Hertz, and stop renting from ERAC when on business and you're in a hurry, since you're such an "important guy".

I completely agree with FormerErac. Enterprise has their way of doing things that include providing service from the counter to the rental car so they can answer any questions (and yes try to sell up too). If you don't like this than don't use enterprise. If you want a quick meal in your car, go to McDonald's drive thru. If you want to sit down and have a waitress- go to Denny's.

Important, busy professionals like us do not eat at McDonalds OR Denny's.
Gross! We make enough money to eat at better places. Not that we have to spend our own money, we have expense accounts.

I am very sorry that you felt that need to refer to me as a "dickhead". Apparently you have some issues with customers overall. You should check your employee benefits and seek some therapy.

My points were directed at ERAC policy and not at individuals. They suggest that if you are a business traveler, rent elsewhere - simple.

No question that it is my fault for having left my jacket in the car upon return. Avis will call when a customer has left a personal belonging.

If you get a car at "less than 1/4" tank, it is time consuming and difficult to gauge an appropriate refill without stopping and checking the gauge several times. It is easier to just get a car full and return it full. Another suggestion for ERAC policy revision.

As far as "growing balls", I listed my thread as a registered user. You are unregistered - so .... who really has the balls?

Good luck to you in the coming year and I hope you can find a professional to help you overcome your problems.
