Corporate code use?

I'll be needing a car in the next month, and I came across a few of the corporate rate codes online while searching for coupons. Do they ask for proof of affiliation with the company or organization when you pick up the car? I'm not really looking for a discount, but several of these codes eliminate the "Under 25" fee at the location I'll be using.

I have to admit, I was a little surprised to find this site. I've rented from my local Enterprise quite a few times and have always been treated pretty well. Granted, I am as courteous and respectful as possible to the people who work there, so that may play into it somehow.

I never checked on corporate affiliation. My branches never charged under 25 fees though either. Check online, if its a slow weekend you may even get a lower rate than a corporate account even if you have to pay an underage fee.

It's a week long rental, so that underage fee nearly doubles the price.

Going by the normal internet rate, it would cost me about $115 to rent a standard for a week if I was 25. As is, the underage fee drives that up a little past $200. With a corporate account, I get a total of about $117 and change.

Also, do cancelled reservations show up when you're checked in? I played around with a few of the corporate codes and actually made and cancelled reservations with two of them. If my past reservations are visible, it'll read kinda like the yellow pages.

I'd say the odds of them asking for any sort of ID are very low. I never asked for any corporate ID when I worked there and I never witnessed any of my co-workers ask for any. I'm sure the managers of the branch you're renting from appreciate you helping to keep their occupancy up by keeping the car on rent for a whole week. As long as you keep that positive disposition (which is GREATLY appreciated by all ERAC employees) you won't have any problems.

Book the reservation. I give you 95% that they do not ask for a corporate ID. If you do get asked about it, just give a general answer or tell them your spouse is involved in the business and will be meeting you later.

As for the cancelled reservations, don't lose sleep over them. Just make sure you have the reservation number for the most beneficial rate reservation because sometimes those "cancelled" reservations stay in the system. If you do have multipule reservations, the employees will usually default to the first one you made simply because it is first on their list. I'm not sure in which city you are renting, but $117 for a standard class for a week if a very favorable rate.

I got a great rate and an upgrade to a Premium since they were out of Full-Size cars. I was never asked for any corporate ID. I had a very pleasant conversation with the person who greeted me at the check-in counter - perhaps too pleasant. I worry that I got her in trouble for keeping her away from the counter for thirty minutes longer than necessary.

I've lived in the South my entire life, and I can attest that people really do respond to what they'd call "southern hospitality." A "please" and a "thank you" and a pleasant disposition will get you a long way in life. Unfortunately, fewer and fewer people understand that these days.
