Default Former BM

Corporate Info. I'm a former BM. When we toured the corporate office, I learned some interesting info you might like to know.

The room containing the AS400's (RALPH), has a "floating" floor, Tornado proof glass, etc. Andy does drive a Park Ave, with GPS and sensors to track him. He also carries the "football" at all times in a briefcase--like the President of the U.S. If something happended that disabled the satellites, ERAC has a backup in New York that Andy could go to and reboot to get the entire system back up (that is the simplified description.) He has security guards also that know where he is at all times. And yes, there is worry that when Jack dies what will happen with the inheritance tax (I'm having a brain fart, but we heard that from Andy's right hand girl-can't remember her name). If you've seen Andy's office you'll know that after 911 they enclosed it with bullet proof glass (he was not happy about this, but the board wanted this for his safety). He also regularly eats from the Corporate cafeteria, and had been seen taking home those little 6oz. milk containers when the wife requested he pick up some milk (He said he didn't feel like stopping at the store on the way home.) Have some more info if anyone is interested.

I heard they hired a security consultant after 9/11 who insisted that a lot of precautions are taken, including that Jack and Andy can't fly together, and that they do have security at the office and at home.

To confirm some of the information previously posted from someone who has actually taken "the tour" of Corporate:

The "RALPH" room does have a floating floor and tornado proof glass. To my understanding, the floating floor is to be able to access the various servers and to aid with the climate control of the room where RALPH servers are stored.

Andy's office is encased in bullet proof glass.

In addition, there is security on the grounds at all time and the elevators require key cards which only grant access to certain floors of the building.

Is the security really for terrorists, or disgruntled employees? I know for a fact that Bin Laden has George W. as #1 on his hit list and Andy Taylor as #2.

Default 2008

Bullet proof glass. Separate flights. Added security. Maybe they're gearing up for a run at the White House.

All this for a relatively unimportant corporate executive? Sounds like disgruntled employees.

As for the inheritance tax, provided congress doesn't monkey around, they are good in 2010. Otherwise, a reincorporation in Dubai is always an option.
