Thank you realitycheck, and everyone else that has responded with positive feedback. I got locked on one negative comment and forgot to thank the rest of you.

As for the update I promised, I was called by someone that worked for the regional manager twice today. He said that he was checking with the company that the credits get issued through for ERAC and would get back to me the first time we talked. The second time he said basically that they didn't know for sure when the money would be in my account but hoped it would be tomorrow. Looks like more mac and cheese for dinner tonight.

Thanks again realitycheck, ExLossControl, The Unregistered User, Jeahho, and last but definitely not least TheFailingEnterpriseAdmin

Playerchick is right, what kind of loser are you that you dont even have $500 in your account with 2 kids???? What the hell are you having kids for if you can barely support them???? What happens if they get sick and have a $1000 doctor bill?? If you are the lazy piece of crap I can tell you are and don't have a second job to at least make sure you have a little cushion there for your kid's, you should be ashamed of yourself. Oh and by the way....if you are living paycheck to paycheck with 2 kids I think at the very least you should be saving the $10-50/month you pay in internet access fees....oh wait, your kids don't need to eat, but you do need that computer to spend worthless hours complaining like a kid yourself.....what a loser!!!!!!!!!

Leave the poor guy alone...Its not about him! Its his situation with ERAC thats important. At least he is there for them.He works to put money in his wallet and food on the table.ERAC robbed him of that well earned money.

I say to you Sir "Sorry about the childish responses on here...well done for being a father"!

"....well done being a father"????? can we please objectively look at this statement.....given everything else holds constant....i still can't get over the fact that you barely have enough money to feed your kids but you have enough time to sit on the internet and waste your time on a site like this instead of getting a second job to put some extra money away....or how come you are paying $10-50/month paying internet access fees which you certainly dont need to be spending but rather should be putting that money away for your kids......please, please someone explain this to me

Can we focus less on the renter's ability to parent his child and more on the customer service situation at hand?

Seriously- it's none of our business why a matter of $300 should matter so much to this person. I've been in situations many a time where $300 constituted all the money I had in the world...had $500 worth of bills overdue, and still had to buy diapers and formula.

And that was while I worked at ERAC.

Pot? Meet Kettle.

Renter, I empathize completely. Part of the reason I left ERAC was that the company relied so heavily on the cash renters, and seemed almost intent on bankrupting them. I can't tell you how many thousands of dollars I've seen refunded in overdraft fees to customers who had disputes.

It would be so much easier if everyone used credit cards, true, but how realistic is that? Not very. And if Renter doesn't have a credit card, or has one that's maxed out, those are personal choices.

It sounds like this renter needed to get to work, which is the reason he rented the car in the first place...and he was obviously trying to add a bit to the bank account in that endeavour- better than renting to a gangbanger or drug dealer in my book.

I only came to this forum to let the admin know how much I appreciated this site and forum being here to help me with my situation.

I never expected people to start analyzing my personal finances, fatherhood, or being called names and insulted.

I won't be posting here anymore, but before I leave I did want to remind the unregistered users berating me so much that they know nothing of my life or my finances other than what I said, which isn't much. Here are a few responses to your accusations before I go. I know I said I wasn't going to respond to playerchick, but I couldn't resist.

Playerchick

Quote:
If you were such a family man with children ( obviously small since you still use diapers and formula ) why do you only have 400$ in your account? Tornado strikes and you are out? I just don't get people like you...
I'm not a millionaire, otherwise I would have had my chauffeur drive me to work. If a tornado strikes, I have insurance on my house and medical coverage from work. $400 buys plenty of formula, diapers, and food for 1 week. You asked "why" I only had $400 in my account. This is what I was referring to when I said it was none of your business. Yes, I talked briefly and discreetly about one part of my finances which was, why I was broke right now from several transactions at ERAC. I never said why I only had $400. This is what I was referencing when I said it was none of your business, but you obviously can't grasp this.

Playerchick Again

Quote:
Your personal finances are none of mine nor anyone elses business, however once you post them and publicly discuss about them on a website such this, it is no longer personal!
As far as being told to leave your car there, if you learned anything from your first ecrap experience, you should have known better...However, some people take longer than others..
Yes, it is still personal! I only said what I felt was needed to tell everyone about my current situation. Explaining about how much was taken out of my account and that none was left in the end after ERAC took it. It was still none of your business why I had $400 in my account just because I referenced the amount. So, ERAC never brings me a car for 4 hours in another state and I have no inside information about how ERAC stinks because I have never worked there or been to this site until recently. Then five years later in a different state I use them again and something totally different happens where I get overcharged. If I continue to use them now that I have found this site and have read many many posts and dealt with people like you that could possibly be the person behind the counter the next time I would try to rent a car, I could see where you might have a leg to stand on by saying that some people take longer than others..

Seeing as this is only my second bad encounter, and I haven't tried renting a third time, and after my explanation to you, you still don't get it, I see what you are saying that some people take longer than others ...

Answers in order.

1. I had over $1000 in my account until I had to have the clutch replaced in my car and ERAC took the rest you dumb fuck.

2. I support my kids just fine when ERAC isn't taking all of my money you fucking moron.

3. My medical insurance will pay for it. Yes, I am cursing alot at you because you have no idea what the fuck you are even talking about.

At least playerchick had the balls to write under a registered name. YOU should be the one ashamed, but how can you be when nobody knows who you are. No accountability, just like ERAC.

I'm not broke like this all the time and living from one paycheck to another. This is an isolated situation, but you are so ignorant and callous with your statements that it's obvious that thought never entered your feeble mind.

You have got to be fucking kidding me. Internet access. If I had cancelled my internet access I wouldn't have gotten any money back for at least a month. Not to mention I wouldn't have found this site and gotten $100 back on my rental. You can have a tall glass of shut the hell up and as another unregistered user put it. Go fuck yourself!

BTW, That made my day when I saw you sticking up for me by telling this unregistered user to go fuck himself. Classic! :) Thank you again.

I'm assuming this is the same unregistered piece of shit from above. It makes no difference to me if it is not, as your post shows you are just as much a piece of shit as the last unregistered user.

As I have said earlier, until ERAC took my money I had plenty to buy whatever I needed for my family and the car repair was expensive which doesn't happen every week.

The reason I say you are just as worthless as the the other unregistered user or you are the same worthless person is this:

Getting a second job for this 1 week period that we are broke or cutting off my internet right now would not help. Any money earned or saved would not be in my account for 2 weeks to a month. By then I won't need it. Oh, and yes we do put money away for our kids.

You begged for someone to explain it and now I have obliged

I can't believe you honestly thought you were looking at any of this objectively and the only thing that has remained constant is that you are a fucking idiot that is missing one thing to make yourself complete. That would be a hole in the head.

Everyone else, it has been interesting to say the least to try and thank the admin of this site and explain what had happened to me and it turn into this. I tried to keep my cool, but in the end couldn't resist the preceding rant. Hopefully you won't hold it against me that I used quite a bit of foul language, but I tried to keep it to a minimum and only inserted profanity where I felt it was needed and well deserved for the insults I received.

Sincerely,

CustomerServiceGuy

CustomerServiceGuy,

Don't go away. Yes, some of the unregistered posters can be tough, and sometimes being an honest guy with good manners can get you hammered (both here and at Enterprise). Sometimes you have to wade in with sharp elbows and fight back. And you did fine.

I invite you to stay in the fight and remain a worthy participant on the board. Here's some advice:

Some people are just shitheads; ignore them. I choose the battles I want to fight on this board and let the others go.

To Customer Service Guy:

The admin is right. Don't go away just because some idiots don't comprehend why you were complaining on this site in the first place. To attack you personally simply shows their ignorance. I wonder just how financially set they are that they can chide you for being low on funds.

So, don't go away Customer Service Guy! Aside from your very legitimate complaint with ERAC, you write very well and have a great narrative style. That makes it especially nice reading your postings.

The ones who attack you wish they could write half as well as you do. Maybe they should be studying remedial English instead of playing on the Internet.
