Your welcome customer service guy...I am glad that you were not offended by my offer.I am not rich by any means and I have been in your situation on a few occasions... ONE THAT STICKS OUT IN MY MIND IS WHEN I WENT TRAVELLING FOR TWO YEARS AFTER SCHOOL BEFORE i STARTED UNIVERSITY.I WAS IN THE OUTBACK OF AUSTRALIA...I thought I had no money in my account,no cash on me and my friend and I only had two meat pies between us and some water...that food lasted us for 5 days...When we finally managed to hitchike and beg our way back to civilisation I was the happiest man alive...thats why I wanted to help you...We all come up against problems and now I am in a position to help I wanted to...and you know what....next year it could be me who needs peoples help you never know...

I was at a gas station once. When I walked in there was a woman in a panic. She couldn't find her purse or money. She thought she had brought it with her but left it a couple of hundred miles away. She did not realize it until she had already pumped the gas. Being a local I told the attendant that I would take care of the gas. I felt if I were in that situation I would want someone to help me. The woman that forgot her purse asked me if I were sure. I said it was not a problem, I would be happy to help out. She then proceeded to go get a pop and a sandwich and brought them up to get rung up also! I had already given my credit card and the attendant asked me if that was ok to buy those things also. I just started laughing and said yes. My good nature got taken advantage of what can I say. I would do it again though. If I have it, I will give it. __________________ Hey, hows about a little somethin', ya know, for the effort.

I just saw the offers. Let me say Kudos to all. I always felt this board was filled with people that are too giving for there own good. If anything ERAC should see this and try to use it as a model for there ongoing problems.

May I take this opportunity to welcome CSguy back. I am glad to hear that his problem was fixed by the company...eventually...but would also like to say that he should never have had to endure this hassle. Well done evertone for supporting CSguy and hope that he continues to come and talk with us here.

Just remeberd this great post and wanted to put it back at the top so new people could see it! This website is so much more helpful than any member of ERAC managment!

It was wrong for them to bang your debit card without notifying you but lets not forget it is the dealerships ( and the customers if the dealer doesn't) responsibility to call and let the branch know that the car has been dropped so that the charges can be stopped and the contract pended.

Just a quick note, Don isn't the president of the company. He's more like the Customer Service "Director". Andy Taylor is president. Anyway, being a former employee of Enterprise that complaint by CsGuy rings so true. Even being a Branch Manager, as I was, we have pretty much no say when it comes to charging customers. It's funny, our Area Managers get steamed if a customer owes us money and demands that we use the CCARD on file, but as soon as the customer calls his/her demands change. Most of the Area Managers philosophy is that if a call gets to them it's free. What a contradiction. Well, any advice to someone looking for assistance, just call the Area Manager. If you call any higher it will be the Area Manager calling you anyway. Again, the Area Manager will eventually just write anything off that you complain about anyway..that would be my recommendation.

If anyone should be empathetic about having an empty bank account it should be an ERAC employee.

LOL. I was thinking the same thing, especially about the kids part. I want to say that the national average to raise a child till the age of 18 is a little more than 500,000 including college tuition etc. |
