That's a tactic used to flip the blame onto you. Now, you have to defend yourself and she doesn't have to worry about qualifying. Don't you just love ERAC customers?

I think we're missing a very important element from the first poster. He said that he would try $250 and then $ 100. Isn't this a contradiction to the ever popular Enterprise method of where one can only perform one authorization in a 24 hour period?? I don't know how it was in other parts of the country..but when I worked in a major college town..I would get the 3pm students who's CC declined and we couldn't even rent to them the next day?

There's a way around it. I forgot what it is exactly but there is a way to force it through. I think if you back up a screen you can run the card again. If there is anyway erac can rent a thug a car when they are sitting fat, they'll find a way.

Ya, you can go back though the screens, try it again and it'll work, but if the CC holder charges you back, too bad, so sad for ERAC. As much as I hate ERAC, they're not stupid. Funny thing is, ERAC is the only business I've ever heard of with this policy. And given a company that will rent to damn near anyone, there must be something to it. Call up merchant services and I'm sure they'll explain it to you.

I got offered a Bealls card once...and a Texaco card for payment..."aren't they considered credit cards...they extend me credit??? I have used them both here before!"...THAT is my favorite one.
