If your an X employee and didn't get a "gift" check out ebay. It looks like there will be plenty of them available for a long time. Going for about $15. For all of you selling them, thank Andy for spending $50 so that you can get $15 out of it.

Check out user name: misc_gadg on ebay. This guy also seems to have an unlimited supply of garage door openers he sells on ebay. Wonder where he got all of those.

Can't blame him. Probably needs to sell them to keep above minimum wage.

No more two-ways? BTW, if you don't want them to call on your cell phone, don't give them the number.

This was my first year out of Enterprise working for another company. It was really nice receiving money ($100) from the CEO and thanking me for my hard work. My girlfriend, who still works for the company, informed me of her Christmas gift. Wow!!! Sounds like the gifts keep going down hill every year. Seems to me that people would rather enjoy the $50 or whatever money would be used for the Christmas gift.

BTW, someone from Group 32 was fired for knocking the Christmas gift in an email. The email circulated all over the place and eventually fell into the wrong hands. Getting fired was probably the best gift they received this Christmas.

Didnt they realize what they were doing when they sent the email?

This is ERAC we are talking about here, world famous employees that send "reply to all" emails and CC entire groups in their emails. I'm sure what had happened is that it got sent to a couple of people that were cool about the bashing, which than got forwarded to some other people, and eventually got into someone's hands that is a douche and informed a "bleed green" cock sucker.

Regarding the e-mail sent around Group 32, that was THE funniest thing I have ever read. My BM gave it to me to read and I could not stop laughing! I left ERAC shortly after it circulated, but amen to whoever wrote it. I wish I still had a copy of it (I would have posted it), but the person I passed it on to had to shred it b/c the ARM caught her with it :(.

> Family and Friends who I have sacrificed hanging out with for the sake of my job...
> What did the last 5 years of hard work and loyalty earn me this year for Christmas?
> What did they give the woman who has literally sung the praises of Enterprise?
> Keep in mind that we are the #1 rental car company in the world...more profitable than any other rental car company....multi-billion dollar corporation...our COO was named on of the top 50 most powerful women in business...we just purchased Vanguard (Alamo/National) and now have a much bigger market share at the airport...we are one of the largest privately held companies...we pledged $50 million to planting trees...starting next year we will be offering carbon neutralizing option to customers and matching their purchases...our former RRM Belsky stars in the nationally televised ERAC commercials (that's just a sidenote)...we have a strong philithropic presence in St Louis...we just got a bump in our profit sharing again because the company is doing so well...and we are cutting costs everywhere (hint hint)...and this year was a big deal since it is our 50th anniversary...so with all this buying power and hoopla about being 50 years strong what do you think we got? A honey baked ham? No - would have been tasty. $50 bonus? No - would have been useful for the bills. Starbuck's card? No - would have helped us all cope with the hours. No no no...we got a cast iron replica of the first car that Jack Taylor use to have in his fleet. A beautiful aqua colored 1950 something old car. Oh, but the hood opens up and the wheels move and the license plates say "Enterprise." And for kicks, they threw in a keychain.
> I don't mean to sound ungrateful, at least I have a job that pays the bills (cough, cough), an fun holiday party in Downtown LA, and a present to recognize the Holiday, but what am I to do with this car. What do I tell my non-ERACian friends when they tell me about the new DVD player they got or the $250 Macy's card or 3-day cruise or a donation made to a charity of their choice? I suppose I can say "I got a car." I'm not lying...but I'm just too embarassed to fully disclose that I basically got a Tonka Toy as my Christmas bonus. That when it gets slow in the office, my co-workers and I can race our tonka toys from one side of the office, to the other. That when we really get bored, we can grab two of those cars and strap them on the bottom of our feet and now we have roller skates. Replica roller skates.
> With all these environmental initiatives, why waste the material on this car that 95+% of us don't want and don't appreciate? And of the 5% who will appreciate it - most of them are drivers or people over the age of 50 who remember getting lucky in the back of that car at the drive-in movie. It's as contradictory as us pledging $50 million to planting trees and then printing out books announcing our offical aquistion of Vanguard when an email would have more then sufficed and would have corrolated with our new environmentally concious platform.
> But I digress, back to the car - replica cast-iron car with the hood that opens. I'm just unsure what to do with this thing. I was excited for a second when I thought it was something that you could stick your iPod in and it would play music, but it doesn't do that. I does have a display case - felt lined. Maybe my dad will want it. Maybe Goodwill will accept the donation. I'm not sure. I can't give it to the baby because I'm sure the paint is probably lead-based and ERAC may have killed my spirit, but I won't let it kill a baby. All I know is that when I inevitably move again next year (because I need to be able to find a place that will be affordable on my ERAC pay which basically means I have to move every year to the cheapest place where I'm least likely to get robbed) and God-willing my boys help me move, if they see that I now have this car that they know I won't use, they will be upset. I have enough crap..they don't want to help me move another thing that I won't use. Wonder if it's strong enough to help support moving furniture?
> "Great things happen when we listen to each other" is one of our core values...which makes me wonder who the hell suggested these replicas and why would anyone have ever listened to that person? Sometimes great things don't happen when we listen to one another. Sometimes all that happens is that we get crappy gifts. Thankfully the going price on Ebay for these cars is $30, so I guess if I donate it to Goodwill, then Enterprise gave me a $30 tax write-off. Thanks Enterprise. And I suppose that every gift that I am fortunate enough to get this Christmas will seem that much better because I have already received that one crappy present that has set the bar so low, that every other gift is going to so much more appreciated. Bring on the fruitcake, bring on the slouch socks and the scrunchies from Grandma - they are awesome gifts...compared to my Christmas bonus replica car.
> You know what I feel like...Have you ever watched "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation?" Remember how Clark and his family are so looking forward to his Christmas bonus? They were going to build a pool for the family to enjoy and stuff - Clark has fanatasies about the fun they will have. And then Clark finally gets his bonus and finally spills the plans to his family and they are all excited and it's love and happiness all around...So Clark opens his Christmas bonus and it's something like a "Jelly of the month club." Yep. I get it. I understand that movie on a whole new level now. When I go to watch that movie with my family, as is tradition in my household, I might cry at that scene. Enterprise has taught me to empathize and I will now empathize with Clark on a whole new level. I will be holding my aqua colored, 1957 cast iron Bel-Air car (replica) and I will be empathizing my ass off (PS Which is bigger from working at Enterprise).
> This is my Enterprise story.
