Default How do you survive working at Enterprise with just 30k?

Right after graduation, I moved to Southern California and lived with my parents and worked at Enterprise for a little over 2 months. I did not have to pay rent, car insurance, food (except when I eat out), and I was still barely saving any money. My income was around $1860 a month after taxes.

What I'm wondering is how do the MTs survive with just 1800 dollars a month when they have to pay rent, car insurance, gas (a killer nowadays), food, phone bill and other bills? Forget saving money, how do they not rack up debt even if they commit to minimalism?

It wasn't easy, especially being in GP32. You must have roommates if you want to make ends meet with just your E-Chimp salary. The only way to survive is that you have to cut out a lot of extra activities, no more going to the movies, restaurants, vacations, etc. All you can afford is the necesities of life. Whenever I had free time I would just play video games, it was cheap entertainment.

I'm in grouope 53 and I bring home about $1,200+ every check and for my area that is great. This is a great job everyone is trying to jump on in this area. The only other option is teaching or military. $10.50 an hour and $15 for every hour over 40 hours. Can't complain.

But that is before taxes, so every paycheck you have to be taking home less than $1000 every other week. This was not enough when I was working in So. California.

On the weekends I would stand out infront of Target and Walmart trying to get spare change from people to make ends meet. "For only 10 cents a day you could sponsor a starving Enterprise Employee, they will write letters to you every month which may include a "Free Upgrade" coupon off your next rental up to a full-sized car."

lmfao.......i imagine it is viewed as good money if you come from parents who have a combined annual income less than $50k, then being an e-monkey could be considered a success in life.....mahalo for the good laugh and i hope youve removed yourself from all the e-monkey fecal matter of hopes and dreams.
