problem with unions is most unions are formed for people who have a trade. (electricians, teachers, masons, etc...) i wouldn't call slinging DW and washing cars a trade.

that and you'd have to convince every MT across the country to take their United Way donation and give it to the union every month. i guess it'd be possible. better off joining a preexisting union than trying to start your own however.

If ERAC ever goes public we sure can. But even then count on us being unionized about three years after hell freezes over.

Get serious. If you are that upset with ERAC, quit. Believe it or not, ERAC looks good on a resume. UNION? Do you really care about ERAC that much? What would you hope to accomplish? Although the thought of ERAC employees standing in a picket line is pretty funny. Anyway, just quit.... it's not that big of a deal. You just rent cars. Nothing more, nothing less. And don't give me any of that 'running a business' b.s. You're renting cars. You're a retail clerk that follows econ 101 and the simple laws of supply and demand. You are not in sales, you are in retail. You work your butt off for very little pay and a 'dream' of being in upper management. And believe me, the fact you are on this website talking about a union means you don't have the ideology or big picture thinking required to get to upper management. My advice to you is to quit -- and soon.

I can't imagine getting everyone on the same page, but the National Labor Relations Act gives us the right to discuss unionizing or to unionize without fear of intimidation or termination.

You wouldn't be intimidated or terminated... you would be laughed at though. Just quit. Spend your energy and resources getting a better job... not trying to change the monolith that is Enterprise. What a waste of time.

ERAC employees cannot form a union because you are called "MANAGEMENT TRAINEES". Nobody in Management can be a part of a union. That was thought out when the Taylors decided to call you MT's instead of Rental Consultants.

Its not that easy...if it were, every company would name their line workers "management trainees".
