It was a complete douche move - no idea exactly WHY he was let go, but it's another travesty of ERAT justice.

Enterprise is a waste of time. The rates are low for the first year when the truck is still under warranty, and the customers are interested. Then when E-Rat is beat in individual markets they have to start charging more becasue they are making less money. You have to know trucks to sell trucks. I don't see a long term promise land for Enterprise Truck Rental.

J.K. wasn't actually fired... They created some BS Sales position for him. The last time I spoke with him he seemed pretty happy. His job is a joke and he gets paid well for it.

BTW...... Matt Pell is a douche. Of course that's just my opinion.

Fleet Services only dones a modified finance lease, not a true "full service", check FASB 13 for app rules.

Enterprise fleet services does not like anything over 18,000 GVW in my area and do not have the knowledge or infrastructure to be able to compete. They have a difficult time with FMCSA and fuel tax reporting.

You can not rely of a commerical truck dealership for service, like they do for cars. The dealership will park it in the back and call it a planter. Every customer wants substitute like vehicles included and with ERAT pushing rental with high OP numbers it is doubtful they will be able to send it out or rely on another rental company. They do not belong to Nation Lease.

Unless they purchase one of the few remaining larger Truck Leasing companies and inherit shops and mechanics they can not compete. ( GE purchased 79% of Penske to do this.)

Fleet Service can do a finance lease, act as the bank and that is about it. The trend is move to FSL especially with the 2007 and upcoming 2010 EPA reg.
