The post that killed me was when one green bleeding girl said, "ERAC only takes the most intellagable people." That cracked me up.

I guess I am not surprised then that they can brag about what a great job, oops, I mean "career" they have and how we are all so stupid to have quit because, in reality, they probably can't get anything better. Any decent company would never hire someone like them with a 1.0 or 2.0 GPA from some shit ass college who can't think for him or herself.

I remember that "Why do you need a degree to work at Enterprise?" question came up once at my former branch and this one MA girl got all snooty and defensive about it and said something like, "Enterprise only takes college educated 'cream of the crop' type people," etc. Turns out she had gone to DeVry. No offense to anyone who attended DeVry but is that place even accredited?
You have no idea (.)

My point in starting this thread nearly a year and half ago was that education and intelligence are often two separate entities. While university produces many well-rounded individuals in terms of knowledge and critical thinking, many others are lost outside of their specific areas of study. There are many, many young people out there who seem never to have possessed anything resembling common sense, and if they can't find an answer to a specific question in a book or on a website, they're stymied.

And as far as spelling is concerned, I remember my wife and I arguing with our two kid's (now in their mid 20's) teachers about their spelling mistakes not being snagged on tests and written assignments. One teacher told us
"as long as we know what they're saying". And you wonder why some posts in here look as though they were written in a foreign language?

By contrast, I'm 49 years old with only a high school education, but back then spelling and grammer DID count, and while I might make the occasional goof in here, I'll pit my spelling, grammar and sentence structure against any university students' any day.

If I paid for an Ivy League education for a child of mine and he ended up working for ERAC, I would not only have disowned the worthless sack of shit, but we would have gone for a nice long boat ride as well.

You "attended" an Ivy League university? My ass! The only Ivy League "attendance" you experienced was janitorial, at best. What kind of idiot goes from Ivy League to ERAC? I suppose you're one of those "6 figures in 6 years" bad-asses that could "hack it", unlike all the losers who quit. Blow it out your ass, LIAR! Typical Greenie - making up big fish stories to impress people.

Uncommon sense is a better way to describe it.
