One final note... it is actually between 18-25 years at AIRPORT LOCATIONS as I previously said. A good portion of our employees are now staffed at our suburban locations. Perhaps before you become an EINSTEIN and start your mathematical equations, perhaps you should be a bit better at reading comprehension.

It is rather funny how you don't address any of the other points made in my post. I guess the remaining statements are valid and remain uncontested.... as my assumption would be since the statements made were factual and did and/or continue to occur. It is pretty unfortunate that people that are fresh out of college choose to jumpstart their career with a company such as ERAC which does nothing more than brainwash them into believing their company holds their golden key. Furthermore, because of the tenure of employees not being as long in HLE, our company has transferred managers from within the company to manage branches and, at times, has also outsourced managers based on the abilities of current management staff at particular locations. It is all about being competitive and continued growth and profitability. ERAC indicates it wants to expand at airport locations. Perhaps because they see the amount of business they have lost and will continue to lose in the suburban market. ERAC's tactics by manipulating contractural agreements with their customers and lack of understanding of an effective business plan and their overall poor customer "no" service, will continue to plague them for probably years to come. They realistically don't stand much of a chance in the airport market either.... simply because the lack of service is evident at any location as well as the lack of vehicles. Therefore, for those of you who read this and the prior posts and responses, feel free to agree and/or disagree, but the fact still remains.... HERTZ and HLE will give ERAC and other competitors a run for their money any time! We continue to be profitable and successful.... and that starts with our front line employees and our understanding of customer retention by satisfying the customer and meeting their car rental needs.

In response to JeanHo's post regarding car rental agents not being accountants, I would definitely agree as such....after all they have DIFFERENT TITLES! Nonetheless, it does not make any one any less skilled than the other. HLE locations staff with managers.... Manager Trainees, Associate Managers, Assistant Branch Managers, and Branch Managers. They are managers! They multi-task, utilize effective decision making skills, are entrusted to maintain our company's competitive edge, marketing, etc. In my opinion, that displays much more talent than someone who sits at a desk an punches numbers. Big deal! Most of them are probably lacking any personality and probably get tired of the repetitiveness of their work. Our employees all have different positive contributions that they bring to Hertz.... their own uniqueness and thought processes. Our company is SALES driven, so on top of the other areas of responsibilities, they learn first hand how to grow their business by learning and implementing effective plans of action for success. Utilization, revenue management, pre-tax profitability, etc. are just the beginning of what our Managers' learn! So, before you mistakenly call one of our Managers a "car rental agent", you might want to think again. Also, there is no reason to belittle a "car rental agent" to begin with! It is it's own profession and employees make exceptional pay as such. You seem to need to educate yourself since most of what was said in your post seems to be said out of ignorance. Our agents at the airport locations are called CSR's - Customer Service Representatives. You are truly living in the dark ages. Pull it together!

I've given evidence to back up my claim, so now where is your evidence? If you want to check my employment numbers, see sec.gov |

Once again, I am referencing airport personnel only. I don't give a crap about whatever findings you have. Evidentally you have no life to begin with. This ends my discussion regarding this thread. Hertz rules in the rental car market.... too bad ERAC! I am almost certain you must work for ERAC.... those employees tend to have no life!

Oh, one final note... your math is evidentally off. Go to the airport since you lead a clueless and uneventful life and you will see what I am talking about. And yes, it is 18-25 years which is based on Human Resource records that is confidental only to our company. There you have it.... good riddance pain in the @&&!

Since the post from the Senior Revenue Manager for Hertz in PHX is very old I don't think they will see this reply. I am pretty sure I know who the person is that wrote it and I can tell you this person is an IDIOT!! I'm not just calling this person a name, but I mean it as a description, IDIOT!!!!!!!!! This is one of the Managers I talk about: What a surprise to see this site. I just may start one for Hertz...If anyone has any questions and/or concerns about working for Hertz in AZ, just ask...I was hired almost 9 yrs ago as a Station Manager at Sky Harbor airport. The pay sucked, but I came from an airline, so anything was better then the pay there. Although I started in "dispatch", the better word for it was exit gate keeper, at least at 1st. Basically, it was low end manager work in 120 degree heat. I was talked into, or I say TRICKED into going to the 1st HLE in AZ located in Scottsdale. The person they hired to manage all HLE's was a former ERAC Branch Mgr, who I soon learned was FIRED from ERAC for low numbers. Things were great, I was the only girl in HLE for the most part except for a kiss ass office manager. Things progressed great, I was even promoted several times, by larger locations and salaries. I was making $75k after 3 years, not bad as I have no degree. I worked my butt off, literally. I lost 80lbs between 70plus work weeks and lack of staffing. But, I still loved my job. I was promoted to the largest off airport location and at a major high end car dealership. All was well, when I was working 80 hours a week by then, and mind you NEVER asking for anything in return. I was well liked and respected until my Manager was transfered to another state (yea, the same one that started HLE WITH ME, and had been fired from ERAC). I was the most qualified and was recommended by my former Manager, oh so he says after his sexual advances...But, the Area Manager hired a Fleet Manager from ERAC, the same manager that fired my former manager. If that wasn't a kick in the face, I then after years of trying got pregnant. After I told my Area Manager and my new "City" Manager, I began getting written up for nothing. Basically, not getting to the bank on time, 2 times. My location was renting over 500 cars a week and running 2 resorts along with insurance and dealership rentals. I was transfered back to a smaller location, one that I opened previously. Made less money becuz of the bonues. Then under the stress of looking over my shoulder, etc (I can go on forever about PHX managers and employees) I almost lost my baby at 4 months along. Iwas on bedrest the remaining 5 months. My Area Manager was only concerned with were they could pick up my company car. Hertz, was a great company in the beginning. They didn't try and force coverages on customers, but still gave insentive to sell it making it important to employess. Now that they have ERAC managers and employees and some very un-quailifed managers, they have lost most of the market share they had taken from ERAC back when HLE started. My message is beware.........They will work you to death and toss you aside as though you don't matter when or if you can not put your family/health aside to manage there EXTREMELY understaffed loactions.

Why would anyone think that quitting one rental agency to go to another be any different? IT'S STILL RENTAL! You still have to deal with all the SAME bullshit we deal with at ERAC. This reminds me of a conversation I had with a girl I know about "how much better" working at Wal-Mart Supercenter will be than working ay Dominick's (owned by Safeway in case non-Chicagoans wonder). I was like, "dumbass, it's still a grocery store, in fact WSupCen is like 10 times busier!" Of course she found out and quit.. You know what I did? I just found a new job I'll be starting soon in a different industry that will pay $50K plus bonuses, work only 40 hours, not have to deal with customers' attitudes and basically direct a sales team. That is all of our best solution if you hate your job here!

Hertz is slightly more civilized than ERAC, people there tend to be more family oriented, there is less drug and alcohol abuse, and less backstabbing. But the scumbag bodyshops and dealerships are the same, plus the same raw sewage known as customers come in the place. The guy in the previous post is correct, it's still fuckin' rental. __________________ "Now there's only 3 things in life I need Money, safe sex, and a whole lot of weed"
