Default Re: pay

Area Manager could range from $45k to $150K or more.

Next step is Group/Regional Rental Manager. Most likely $100-$200K+ a year.

Most area managers where I am from where in the 75k - 125k range. The regional rental manager was in the 300k - 400k range. The Regional VP was in the 500k - 750k range in one region, and had one regional VP pulling in about a mil a year. The GM was bringing in 1.5 to 2mil a year. (Not that this makes him god, but some of the other numbers people were dropping sounded a bit low).

Keep in mind ERAC "gives" you the opportunity to make more with each promotion.

For example you are a Branch Manager making $55,000K a year. Your pay plan the first 12 months of being an area manager may project a $10,000 raise based on your performance. Could be more, could be less.

I guess what I am trying to say is you do not go from making $45K as a Branch Manager to $100K as a first year Area Manager. If you do well it will take a couple of years.

Keep in mind "full pop" is 5% for Area Managers and Group Managers. Not sure about RVP's. I think GM's top out at 15% if they were "PIONEERS" of thier Group.

By the way... any pioneer GM's left? Or have they all gotten run off?

Default JeaHo

JeaHo,

I was the person who calculated comission checks for the second largest rental Group in the country. The numbers you just put out are way to HIGH.

Sorry, but I have to say you are wrong on this one. I do agree with a lot of what you say most of the time though.

I couldn't agree more. I have been exposed to all the payplans for every position from asst. manager to group vice president and you are way off on this one. I can say that for a fact the Regional Vice President was making around 450k. If you guys were killing it he might pull in 500k.
