Please, asking for an advise. I am quitting tomorrow ( not a 2 week notice thing ). Will they add all my remaining choice/vacation days at the end or do I get terminated the day I tell them I am out? What should I do? I guess my question is I want out before year is over so I don't pay tax in '05, how do I do it? Thank you

Today is my last day also. As far as paid days, this is how it breaks down. If you offer your 2 weeks notice, they should pay you out for those 2 weeks, but generally don't let you work it. My case was a little different. They kept me on for the 2 weeks because of the Christmas holiday and because my branch is very hectic so I could help transition the new management team. If you just quit, I'm not sure if they will pay you out for more than they have to. They are only obligated to cash you in for your unused vacation days. You only have vacation days if you have been there for at least a year. My region is giving me my unused "Z" days also, but choice time days are not paid out. Good luck outside of the company. Today is going to be a great relief for me. Looking forward to retirement from rental!

I gave a four week notice and they asked me if I would be willing to work out the last four weeks, to which I said sure to. It was the best four weeks that I worked at Enterprise. Since the rest of management knew that I was leaving and didn't care I wasn't hassled about anything. Basicly for four weeks I was the pick up/drop off guy who only wrote up corporate renters who were "hits", and allowed others to complete "hits" with my number. I still put in 55 hours each week, showed up early and stayed late like I always did, I just stopped trying to sell DW. I think I was only actually completing about 10 tickets a week, while everyone else would print out uncompleted tickets and either complete it later with their own number or mine, depending on how the DW sling went. Had I stayed an additional 4 weeks I would have gotten more vacation time, but I really didn't care, I just wanted out.

Oh poor Greggy, is there something missing in your sad little life? Beyond a few extra inches you and your sister wish you had. Is there? Or does Enterprise fulfill all you need and desire? Deep down inside you know we're right. It feels better once you've left. Get it?... you boob.
