Hi, I have 5 promising job prospects on the table, including Enterprise. I have no clue which one is best and worst. If you had to rank these jobs based on the following info, how would you rank them? 1. Enterprise- I am in Connecticut if that makes any difference. Do not need to say much because most here know about ERAC. 2. CDW- Account Manager at CDW (they sell computers, and cpu products). Basically an inside sales gig, 25 k plus 3 k bonus. Also commision structure which person TELLS me averages to about 40 first year. Selling mainly B2B and some government. 3. Wells Fargo- Management Trainee- this place sounded a lot like Enterprise because of their trainee, promote from within, be a branch manager within 2 years etc. With of course the exception that they probably dont make you go to happy hour, and no washing cars, renting cars etc. They sell financial products- loans , mortgages, credit cards etc., some "warm calling". Not sure of the pay yet but estimating around 30 k. 4. BLR- inside sales gig for a company that consults about HR practices such as safety, wages, labor laws etc. Starts at 30 k then after training down to 25 k plus commisions. From what I am told average about 40. All I know right now. 5. Gilbane Building Company- Project Accountant- Accountant at job sites ( construction management company)....works at a construction site for big projects, prepares invoices, pays bills, other accounting stuff receivablkes payables etc. pays 35k -40k....was originally my first choice but they arent hiring right now, but when they do I have an in because I interned there and my Dad is a friend of Tom Gilbane (big company). Based on just that info and nothing else, where would you rank these jobs. If, and I know its a big if, I get offers on all of them, and right now I am close on a couple, I wouldnt know where to go!!

What is your intuition telling you to do? Chances are you already know the answer. :) CDW and ERAC are turn and burn places. Wells Fargo is well respected. I guess it comes down to balancing career and income growth in an industry that YOU will enjoy. As you get older you will realize money is just one part of the equation. Good luck!

As a former connecticut e employee, i can tell you to avoid enterprise. There are 2 groups in ct so i can't speak to both of them, but on the one i was in i can tell you to stay away! Wells fargo may sound like e, but the payoff is a hell of a lot nicer. i had an associate who became a branch mgr there and was making between 2-300k! compare that to e bm's!! The accounting job sounds like more of a career than the others though. depends on if you are committed to being a salesperson. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice.....i chose the BLR one at first because they told me I had to start on the 13th, as it was their last training class of the year.....however, on Monday of my first day Wells Fargo offered me the MT position. So they have sent me an offer letter (32 k plus opportunity for bonuses) and i think im going to take it.
