| JeahHo sits at either a regional office or corporate and types away nonsense like this on a daily basis and then tries to play it off by saying she no longer works there. It's WAY to obvious, based on how she repeatedly jumps at the chance to defend the Green E every time one of us posts. Her official story is that she's a former employee that worked at ERAC for over 8 years and never made it past Branch Manager.. Go figure. |
| |||
| If she never made it to branch manager in 8 years time...she never made it past 3.....No way Erac would keep an employee that long making her vested without the possibility of being promoted.....I haven't heard of too many 8 year assistants.. |

| Just a note about check engine lights, as annoying as they are for the comfort of customers it is crucial to get them into the shop and cleared. In 3 years I have had 5 major engine problems detected due to running the car in the shop to have it cleared for the "gas cap" It is not something to take lightly. Of course many AreaMan and BM will have a different take on it, but then that is why they have engines blow on them too. |

| Know whats worst than a check engine light is that "Maintenance" light, that comes on at preset mileage so you go to the dealer to get service. When I was in rental I had a lot of customers thinking this was a check engine light and something was wrong. |
| |||
| Maybe in a sense nothing is wrong, but keep in mind- these are new cars and it's important during the first 10-20K miles to get the maintenance done when it's required or it will effect the life of the car. Would you want to "roll it" with your own new car? |
| |||
| No, I would not want to do that with my own car. However, keep in mind that ERAC will only own are car for about 40k, 50k at most. So why would ERAC give a dam about the Life of the car. As long as the vehicle is running fine at the time of the sale why would they car about the car when it hits 120k? By then it is on it's 2nd or 3rd owner and they don't know it use to be an ERAC car anyway. |

| i'm new to this site and i'm only a 5 month old MT, but ive got a scam i use sometimes. when your writing a ticket and you know you have a "hack" on your hands, get to the screen where you x adj, body shop, customer, special, all that crap. hit f6 to choose your unit and then hit f8 to PREWRITE the ticket. you normally would only do this when you didnt have the car you were using but fugg it. it will take you to the last screen, put in the rates, dw/pai, credit card info. put in your password and employee number and the ticket will print out. it will show the car being rented and your employee number on the bottom, but the TICKET IS NOT COMPLETE! go back to option 9, enter thru the screens (cuz everything should already be in there) and at the last screen this time enter your password, employee number then in the space where it says "employee number if different" put in the employee number of the person you roll business accts to that you cant sell to. then hit enter. now the ticket is closed, it is sourced under someone elses numbers so you wont feel the hit, but your BM and AM cant tell by looking at the ticket b/c it says your employee number at the bottom! it will show a ticket next to that person being 0 for whatever the next day on the sales screen but that aint really a big deal. |

| This "scam" can work for a while, but you can't do it too much before someone finds out and calls you out on it. The big deal with using someone else's number has to do with Loss Control. If something were to come up, like a lawsuit, whoevers number is on the ticket will be called up for questioning. This happens more than many of you would think. I work at corporate now and am on the insurance side of ERAC, so I see this kind of stuff alot. So...although it may be a quick fix to a bad day or week, use it with caution... Isn't it sad that we are even talking about ways to scam the company...sad...but true. |
| |||
| This is an oldie but a goody. It is also easy for the branch manager to catch, and will get you punched in the face by anyone who is really serious about their sales numbers. By the way, the employee number used to complete the ticket still shows up under open ticket information. Anyone who looks there will see that the two don't match. |
