Fleet Services is the ONLY other division in ERAC worth working for. It's also the most difficult division to get in. You have to pass a logic exam, and qualify with a personality exam. Afterward, you get hard core training in a real life outside sales department (closing deals on average in excess of $50K, an office with a door on it, an actual company car you can leave your crap in, a cell phone with the bill paid for, PC with high speed internet, autonomy, book of business, real training etc.). All the other divisions are weak compared to this division. Level II fleet employees that perform make more money than Level III Area Managers by a long shot. Most of the people here might not have ever looked into it, but that's no surprise since they don't want a lot of attention. They are very very selective about who they hire. They take about 1 in 10 internal referrals and then bombard the candidate witha brutal interview process. By far the biggest side to it is that you can leave Fleet and leverage it for a higher paying sales job outside the company. Take it from me, it's what I did. Zero regrets, and have never looked back....

No it's not cake. I did that as well. You get to deal with nasty people, cops, attorneys and you have to do collections. Your boss will most likely be a control freak (It's a trait that the LCM must have) you will get no recognition and the pay is horrible. If this is something that interests you though...apply as insurance claims adjustor. Yeah it is a lot of work but you get to wear jeans to work and they pay is better. Plus this industry is growing and they are always looking for people. just my two cents since you asked.

yea, i've heard that there is MADD money in fleet services but that is really hard b/c thats straight canvassing door to door cold calling type business. Sales is sales, but thats HARDCORE sales. I'm straight on that...now the insurance claims adjustor thing I have heard a lot of eracers go to...I'd consider that but I have heard that the insurance biz is stressful. In the meantime I'm hangin in erac to learn the system b/c there are still a lot more little positions that are decent that a lotta ppl know nothing about.
