Default Day in the life of an ERAC employee.

Well....Where do I start?

This is the worst job imaginable. How did it come to this. That I would be working in Newbury behind a crappy dirty desk trying to force insurance coverage on people that dont need it.Life after UNI started out so promising! I landed a job in Nebraska with ERAC and gleefully started work there last year.Almost at once I noticed the difference in my workday and that of others.I began at 6.30 am in the morning and often would not finish until 7.30pm at night with silly meetings being held at corp until god knows when! I had no real lunch break and I struggled through as those around me fell away.My manager, area manager and even the guy who recruited me quit.I knew now that something was up.It only really dawned on me one day when I was cleaning snow off the carsand catching my tie in the hoover that prison seemed more like a holiday camp than this.Upon inspection of my paycheck I also realised they would earn more than me in prison aswell.

I used to bleed green.I worked my little heart out.I believed the BS.I tried I really did.I was top of the matrix 3 months running. Then it happened.I was told that the branch I was running with 100 cars and only 2 employees was getting a new AM....It wasnt me! I had worked with no area manager for 4 months and increased ESQI and profiability beyond all recognition but because I was "not ready" I would not be grilled! I was furious.I quit! Then I saw sense that I had to work until I found somethiing else.

Stay online and I will update you daily about the Branch I am in and how @#%$ it really is and how incompetent the mangager can be...@#%$ ARS AND CALLBACKS....REVOLUTION I TELL YOU....REVOLUTION

TJ JACKSON IN NEBRASKA IS A @#%$ END. He is so hated by his employees that I hear some people call him Napoleon.Because he is sooo small and pathetic.

Default Gp62

I heard that Group is a little whacked these days. If they are telling you that you are "not ready" are they giving you specific concrete areas to focus on? Holding you back contradicts the "no timeline on promotions" philosophy etc.

I have heard your boy TJ is in way over his head...and not since he is so short.

Do your best to find a real job. If you feel like you are getting hosed, you probably are. Talk to your "mentor" and all will be better. NOT. Time to move on after your first real taste of the BS.

Thanks mate..Its nice to hear a steady voice from someone who is actually in Enterprise.I think what I find so hard to understand about ERAC is that there are so many great people working here. Its terrible for me to stand by and see my manager working all hours and other MTS quitting.I had an area manager called RYAN HARVEY.The guy was awesome. He knew the system and he played it.I twould also like to thank JEREMY CHRISTIENSEN. He was such a nice guy.The company treated them both like @#%$ and I will never forget TJs incompetence....The guy is a joke....really money orientated and with lax morals....To all those still working at ERAC I salute you.You are brave souls and hard workers. To those that are bitter. You will have better days. I know I will.

Default Ready

If you are running the show without the title behind your name and they tell you that you aren't ready, it's time to work on the resume and get the hell out of dodge. Look at the area managers, regional managers, some branch managers and assistants around you. Are they ready?? Most likely many if not most are not. Erac is so focused on pushing through people on fast track that they push through the wrong ones that are no way ready to handle the people aspect of managing. They advance quickly because they kiss ass and sell well, which in no way makes them a good manager, but in their minds it does. That is why individual managers often times suck. The company allows it to continue and that's why the company sucks. Bottom line, it sucks! And when people finally realize that, they wipe the sleepers from their eyes and exit stage left, right, up, down..you name it. My advice..get off the stage and find a new one. Erac doesn't deserve you.

Thanks reality check...Another thing which really upsets me is the immorality of it all.I have seen enough of my manager "baking" tickets all day long and lying to customers about where thee car is.I am so honest with them now.If someone has a low deductable and is in it for a day or two I just say forget it.I have also gone 2 months without an upsell.A record I believe! My manager keeps saying..."turn it around today"....@#%$ off! You turn around and bend over like I do everyday for you and your managment weasels.

You know what.....Its the customer I feel sorry for most as well.We all hate enterprise and that must reflect in the service.

Its nice to see the issues I have with ERAC are not just local. The same kinda BS is happening all over the nation. I am so glad I am out now "Freedom at last,!!" Keep your head up. Like realitycheck says if you have been passed over you should start looking for other work. Once you are branded it stays with you, trust me on this.

Default Better off out

Believe me when you hand in your notice you will feel 100 times better.

Quit before Xmas-you dont want their crappy present and can you imagine rubbing your manages noses in the fact that they're working when no-one else is?

Make sure you say you're willing to work your notice - more than likely they'll let you go before then anyway.

Glad to see more and more people waking up and smelling the proverbial.

Right on Sparky.

I believe I am doing the right thing. My friend left ERAC after six months last week.Oh how I envy his leaving! Well done Jon Audis......He stood up to the corporate giant that is ERAC....On his exit interview he said there was a "failiure at the local managment level" to bascially achieve anything let alone a good work enviroment......
THIS YOUNG LAD HAS "STEPPED UP TO THE PLATE" ONE TOO MANY TIMES.

Default word of mouth

If erac wants to silence this site they need to start giving a sh1t about their employees. Ah, but we all know that ain't gonna happen, huh?

Erac trains you that satisfied employees will lead to satisfied customers who in turn improve erac's fleet growth by coming back giving the word of mouth which in turn leads to profitability. Well, it looks like word of mouth exists alright, but it's the word of mouth about this site; a site that erac is annoyed by. If erac put the kind of energy into caring about their employees and preparing their managers to be leaders rather than maintaining the status quo as they put into monitoring this site and looking for 'troublemakers' maybe this site wouldn't exist at all. Kind of ironic don't ya think?
