Like someone else said, nice to see some positive posts on this site. It's not all about erac bashing. It's good to be skeptical and with time that will turn into trust because when you move up you can make changes in a positive way. My guess is that most of the haters on this site are so burned by the fact they weren't successful they need to punish erac. anyone smart enough will see through that crap. Not to say they don't make legitimate poiints sometimes and there are some issues but there are some things at erac you won't get a lot of other places so you got to take some bad for the good you get.

i'm sure this will draw out the haters.

The unfortunate part of the job is that your happiness is linked directly to your customers' attitudes, most of the time. Our branch is mostly corporate, so you see the same customers every week, get to know them on a personal level and you know they really enjoy coming in to get their car.

For those thinking of joining ERAC...I'd seriously give it a try. I didn't like it at first either, but the harder you work, the more you get out of it. It's great experience that really is transferrable to any other (almost) line of work...you never know, you might like it.

Yeah, driving people and picking up people can suck, but it's what you make of it. A lot of times because our business is insurance/corporate mostly, the clients have interesting stories to tell, or are interesting themselves. You talk to them. Then they inevitably ask you "...you seem too smart to be working for a rental car place."... yeah it's tough to counter...but you get used to it after a while.

there is fun things about this job i must admit for all the bullshit
but portering and washing i despise
adding insult to injury is the monkey suit
washing cars in the winter stew of ice/snow/salt w/ a suit is a truely
laughable affair
aside from this and the loong hours this job has some good qualities
