Default Have you purchased new work clothes?

I haven't! Yes I have indeed purchased more suits and dress shoes since working at ERAC, but I absolutely REFUSE to wear my newest suits and shoes to work.

Ahh..the good old naive, first month, when I agreed to the "dress for success" program, and came to work with a brand new $300 (on sale, normally $600) Joseph A. Bank suit. My shoes were fresh and brand new. Now, I'm still wearing the same few frayed suit pants and scuffed-up shoes to work months later, cuz I refuse to wear my good shit to work and fuck that up too!

Ahh, so rediculous, washing cars in the most expensive clothes one owns.....

What a joke...

How do you like to type like a Downy 1st grader, yet we have college degrees (albeit, work long hours and wash cars for a living)?

There is some truth to this thread however; I bought some nice shoes to replace the ones I wore out a few months into the job due to water and gravel in our parking lot, and now I have, a few months later still, a pair of gravel-rotten, sole-peeling shoes that used to look like the best thing going, and now look like something from a K-Mart 50% off sale.

Protip: superglue works well at fixing loose soles.

I never buy new clothes. I really don't care how I look anymore after 2.5 years. I never buy new shoes, I just take them to the shoe cobbler and he fixes the heels. He doesn't understand why I'm his best customer. He tells me, "you must be on your feet a lot". ya think???

This is funny. By time I left erac the cuffs on all of my shirts were near black, my pant's were about shot, and my nerves were. I never invested in top notch clothing because it was a waste of money
