| i hope ????? makes this a sticky... anyway, this is what happend at our branch today some nut-job comes walking in and says this... "" do you know where i can find budget rent a car"" or something equally retarded of that nature so, i told the guy, will you excuse me for a min... walked outside, walked behind the building, had a BIG LAUGH.... then walked inside and said... no, have no idea, i can't believe this idiot asked this question. LOL!! what?? was the guy color blind or something??? SO what funny thing happend at YOUR Branch today???? |

| a few weeks ago something similar happened at my branch. some idiot came in saying he had a reservation and a confirmation number. It was something like D02928239. Knowing that all ERAC confirmation numbers are six digits, it took us about 5 seconds to figure out that his reservation was actually for the HLE down the street. Seriously, how retarded do you have to be to not know which damn rental car company you actually reserved a car with? |

| I once walked in on a monday morning to find a budget keys in my dropbox. The customer had left their paperwork in the car, so we were nice enough to call them and tell them they might want to pick it up. We also informed them if they wanted a Impala for less than 64.99 to feel free to call us next time. They said they forgot where they rented it. |

| What's really funny about this thread is that probably every person at a branch has had this happen once. Which begs the burning question, do the renters REALLY give a care in the world where they rent from? HIgh ESQI=customer loyalty? all the preaching about ESQI and customer loyalty seems irrelevant when renters can't even get the rental location correct! THis thread helps support the notion that people don't know or seem to care which company they use. For the majority, if the price is right people will rent from any location. Bottom line: people don't care where they rent, just so long the price works... |

| I worked in an airport and what I found to be the worst was the customers who tried to turn in a car rented from another company to me. I actually had the argument that I could not check a customer out of an Avis car. This guy went on a rant, yelling at me that I should be able to take any car back and process his card. He sat there and argued with me for over 10 minutes, in which time he could have returned the car to avis and been in the airport. It was absolutely amazing the guy just couldn't understand. I even tried to do a comparison for him by asking if he could return a product bought at Best Buy to Circut City for a refund. You know what he said "No but that is not the same thing this is a car not a stereo." I was astonished at the stupidity. He finally got me so pissed of and flustered that I told him he was an idiot and walked away. Supprisingly that never came back to bite me in the ass |

| While woking at an Airport branch, I accidentally rented a Dollar car to our customer. Somehow one of dollars customers returned the car in our row and just left the key in the door. My customer was getting checked into the car next to it. He asked me, how much more for that one. Wanting the sell up, I just said $10 a day and checked him in. I thought it was odd that the keytag didn't have a unit #, but we were always getting new stock at the airport. So I just wrote down the last 6 of vin and added it in ralph, created a z # and everything. Boy did our traffic dept get pissed about that one! |
