Default FREE AT LAST!!!

Free at last, free at last, oh thank lord I'm free at last!

It's done, I did what I had to do. My area manager took it well. It was really hard to do b/c I genuinely like the people I work with but I was stuck in a rut here. I put in my notice this morning and worked it out so I finish out the week and I'll be gone. I had the option of working two weeks at 24DD, but I chose to just finish out the month, get my last commission check, and do my exit interview on Monday. I have to admit, it's scary going out with nothing solid lined up. I do have some potential things lined up, hopefully one of them comes through. But I also have to admit, I FEEL GREAT! I feel good about myself with regards to work for the first time in a long time. It's like a 10,000 lbs. weight was lifted off my shoulders.

I had the option of working the two weeks at corporate but to be honest, I would rather just move on. I would like to nail something down prior to Thanksgiving b/c I don't want to go into the end of the calender year and the holiday season still looking for employment b/c that is not a very good time to find a job.

Thanks to everybody that gave advice on the message board and thanks for listening to me vent.

Default Good work

It is a great feeling isn't it?

Just prepare yourself for the inevitable "he couldn't hack it" backlash from your Area Manager who took it so well!

That's one of the best fealings in the world! Yeah it's hard and scary not having a job lined up, but it's better to not be there IMHO.

Best of luck to you! I two have put in my two weeks and have never felt better. I've been with ERAC less than a year, and I must admit that job really sucked. However, the good thing about it was it helped me with career in sales. My new job is great, and best thing about it is I DONT HAVE TO WEAR A SUIT, and it's indoors so I won't freeze this winter. I really hated washing cars in a suit.
Good luck to everyone who put their two weeks in.
