Gee, doesn't sound too far off from ERAC. Earn 1 ct day first 7 months-not per 2 months worked 1st year-5 vaca days, plus earn one day per month for the next 12 months.. (17 days) 5th -15th- 22 days 15th on... 27 days... not very different with a line by line comparison.. same pay, same hours...what's so special about this co Aldi?? |

Recent college grads make $65k at ERAC??? To clear things up: ALL ENTRY LEVEL college grads start out as "District Manager Trainees" making $65k a year. That is for the typically 22 year college student |

| I have no idea if Aldi is a good company to work for or not but what I can say is that the stores in the area I live are horrible ghetto pcs. of crap. Anyone above the poverty line is embarassed and afraid to go there. Maybe it's different elsewhere around the country but they are awful here in NYS. |

| I'm from the UK but can shed some light on this. Aldi is basically Lidl in disguise, literally cut from the same cloth. I used to work for Lidl and can tell you this is legalised slavery, you will have NO sleep, NO friends, NO life if you work for a company like that, the Germans are literally rolling out a retail bootcamp across the world here, and it is clear how they can keep their prices so low. I went for the Grad scheme at Lidl, as the money seemed good, I would be a graduate store manager and progress quickly I thought. WRONG. They are economical with the truth to say the least, you will enter as a 'Graduate Deputy Store Manager' despite them plastering adverts of earning £27k a year here there and everywhere. You will merely have the 'chance' prospect of becoming the top dog if you 'prove yourself' - no different to any other organisation if I might say. It is a marketing trick, you will go through hell with 60 hours plus a week with no overtime pay, you will be required to sig away your employment rights on the first day. As a result you are a slave, if you don't comply you are sacked. As a result you will be sitting on a checkout sweating, customer after customer, with no food breaks allowed, you will clean the floors and toilets along with the others who ave been sold the lie - 'this is not as advertised' is a common thought, you literally go mental so I had to leave. |
