Can I just say that it is hilarious that over 800 people have viewed this posting, however no one is adding anything to the discussion. I worked in GP01 a couple of years ago, then transferred to a group on the east coast. I have to admit that gp01 seemed to run fairly smoothly and ethically compared to the gp I moved to. From what I'm hearing, things changed a lot after I left and that is a shame. Best of luck to all of you!

I'm glad to see a section for GP01. I left just before the new GM was bought in to shake things up. I guess the Taylor's just got tired of Adams phoning it in everyday. After reading about and renting from some of the other groups, I've come to the belief that it's pretty much the same everywhere.

At least when Adams was there, 01 had a bit of moral. Does anyone realize how many great employees Miller ran off? |

I worked in the Cahokia office in 1997 and I finally had to leave due to the numerous unethical practices I observed. For instance, it was routine for cars to go 10,000-15,000 miles without an oil change. Of course, at 20,000 miles we put them up for sale. I wonder if people know how horrid those cars are that they are buying and being pressured to buy extended warranties. Our Assitant Manager rented a car that had an immediate air bag recall (that was the event where I had enough). Biggest lie told: If you purchase our supplemental insurance then you don't have to file a claim with your insurance company. This is a complete lie and they know it. Lying about prices, lying about availability, lying about anything and with no consistency. I got out and nearly had a nervous breakdown.

Dwight sucked, St. Louis market was SATURATED, but when it stopped being fun, it was time to get out. It's amazing how little intelligence it actually takes to run an Enterprise office. It doesn't take a lot of criticial thinking to lie to customers and call your area manager to beg for more cars. Every day longer you stay at Enterprise makes it harder to get out and maintain your lifestyle. Don't delay; don't be the ARM or City Manager that's making 300K a year but can't get a job making half that anywhere else.
