Default Anyone from AA?

I was surprised not to see a thread for AA, although from what I remember of ERAC, the poor souls are probably too bleary-eyed after work to log on, or curled in the fetal position under their desks sucking their thumbs and shivering at the prospect of having to get up and do it all over again tomorrow.

I quit ERAC 2 years ago after making every attempt to make my issues known and allowed more than ample time for improvements to be made. I could never understand how it made sense to "promote" someone, yet their paycheck reflects a decrease. How does it make sense to base promotion on areas most susceptible to shade? (Who doesn't know someone who changed the customer telephone number in the computer to prevent an esqi call?)

ERAC doesn't seem to get that the customer should come SECOND. Employees should always come first because that's who is taking CARE of the customer. Treat your employee like crap and what kind of service do you think is going to be given to the customer? As far as I'm concerned, the first order of any business should be to make it easy for the employee to do their job well. Like, ummmm, say, have enough PARKING so their day isn't started out on a bad note or have enough pens in the branch.

IMHO, the real problem is NO ONE at the top seems to have the balls to stand up and say, "Enough!" Enough with the shade, enough with the threats, enough with the culture of mediocrity, enough treating the customers better than the employees, enough with avoiding the elephant in the living room! And enough with my vent, because ultimately I'm preaching to the choir and it won't make any difference--it damned sure didn't when I was still there.

I just got out of AA. I tell you, really changed my life. I stood up in front of a group of people and told them I was an alchoholic and told them a brief story of my life. I feel so much better now. One day at a time!

i never drank until i started at erac. i remember going to work still drunk from the night before or just drinking at the office for a party and what not. i never understood how a company where you needed a perfect driving record, could promote so much drinking.....

Default I will say this!!!!!!

Working at AA for the 5 Plus yrs was awful, I mean the pay sucked the promotional criteria sucked, and they tried to use me to the fullest. Did I steal, No, I should have to balance off what I wasn't getting paid. I have intergrity and I was brought up with honor in my family. That's mainly why I had to leave, it wasn't really the region I had a problem with it was the way the company was set up. You basically had to lie to customers to get ahead in the company, but the whole time the company was lieing to you about your promotions. So how do they expect you to feel. It's just like when bill collectors called my home and I never had the money to pay ( cause I wasn't making shit) I had my son lie to them about me being home. So should I get mad at my son if he lied to me? Should I feel bad about lieing to him? Hell yes to all of the above........ This is my last time coming to this site, thanks for giving us ex Enterprise employees a way to vent and finding closure in a chapter in our lives that played out like a bad b movie. Rest assured I will never ever step one foot into any enterprise car rental office ever again in my life........... not even an act of god could get me inside one of those places. I don't care who read this my real name is Earl S. Hodge I worked at several offices 0304/0309/03c2/0364/0325/03c1, yes that many and I learned a lot while I was there. I make (as possible)a negative situation into a positive one. I would like to say hi to Mr. Kirk Martin I wish you really told me from the start what I was getting into when you interviewed me. I have no problems with you cause you where always polite to me when I saw you, and seeing a black man in power inspired me to be my best so that I thank you. I have a much better paying job and my company realized my potential early....They didn't hesitate to offer me chances to be on the ladder to the top. Now i'm making more money than my old ARM Terry Neely and working less hrs with less headaches. Thanks and good night.....E. Hodge

I quit Enterprise almost 2 years ago.....best thing I have ever done for myself. I will say, the grass is not usually greener on the other side, but it is on the other side of Enterprise. I worked my ass of in GP 03AA. I can recall washing a car on my 3rd day of work, it was hot as hell, I was sweating my butt off, and it was way to early in the morning. It was horrible, and I was not sure that I had made the correct career decision. But, a commitment is a commitment, and I decided I was going to stick it out. 3 promotions (demotions) later I quit. Now, I work 9-5 and have tripled my pay. I work from my house in my PJ's and take time (time Enterprise employees are slaving away) for such pleasures as a daily jog, lunch with friends, or to just watch TV. My life kicks ass! By the way Brad Kaffman, you suck. Everyone else, get out while your still sane!!

I worked at ERAC from 1999 to 2002. It sucked ass. They told me I'd make around $50K as Branch Manager. Then I got a job as a BM at 0336, and my pay plan made it basically impossible for me to reach the $50K level. Then to add insult to injury, they transferred me to 03C (without consulting me about the move I might add). Anyway, I busted my a$$ and did everything asked of me until I became BM and realized the pay wasn't what I was promised, then became disillusioned, burned out, and eventually got the hell outta dodge.

Does anyone on here know what's up with Jason Moore, Chris Reinhagen, Jill Burns, Brandy Mulkey, Monte Jackson, Brian Baker, and Johnna Feild?

Oh, anyone know Alphonso Freeman? Wondering what happened to him also. Heard Reed Parker got canned. Anyone know John Croyle? What's up with him?
