Why does it take a month for your raise to hit your check

I am wondering if anyone out there has noticed that if you are lucky enough to receive a "raise" (lol) it takes over a month for it to hit your check even if its approved prior to a new pay period. is this another way for erac to cut cost!

Typical ERAC dragging their feet. It should never take a month for any company to start your raise unless agreed upon during negotiation. Take it as a sign to start looking for another job.

Are you kidding - raise probably means promotion and trust me a promotion does not mean a real raise! Look at your check I'm sure it's smaller since you got promoted.

The only thing that dramatically increases when promoted is the will to commit suicide. It grows with every ring of the telephone and gets stronger with every ignorant asshole you put into a car.
