You proved my point; Tad was fired for racist remarks, deserved or not.

I never said he was a racist, or that he should be fired, I said he was fired due to his own stupidity... Like quoting a racially slurred line from Pulp Fiction to another employee. (poor judgement)

Your "facts" that Tad was a good friend, manager, father... are not facts, they are your opinions.

I got the last phone call I could stand over this stupid website and the stupidity that has been written on here. I think this is a waist of time, so I will make it short, but I felt after numerous phone calls I could not let these messages go unanswered.

Enterprise was good to me, I think their decision to fire me though was harsh, and I also feel like I was picked out of a crowd. I think it is amazing how many people had alligations brought up against them for racial discrimination yet I was the only one that was fired. Everyone else that was involved including another manager and assistant only had to go to racial discrimination class. Another thing is that I was never made to go to the "MANDATORY" racial discrimnation/sexual harrassement class that all new managers are to attend. Mind you I was not a new manager I had been one for about 2 years. I also was fired for "Hostile Work Enviornment", the last time I checked the "Work Enviornment" I created was far from "Hostile." Yes I think I was wrongfuly terminated. I could have been put on probation, demoted, made to go to the class I was supposed to attend. But that was their decision.

I thought I did a decent job as a manager, I had my share of ups and downs and seemed to always be at the wrong branch at the wrong time but I got through alot of things and learned alot. I think my down fall with Enterprise was not holding back my thoughts and feelings about certain things that Enterprise wanted us to grin and bare. I was probably known for stirring the pot as opposed to watching everyone else cook. I wanted to re invent the wheel in every aspect, and was always told that it was good to think outside the box. Which it was not.

I will for the record defend myself in saying I am not racist. The people that truly know me know that I am not. There are many people still at Enterprise that know that this is the furthest thing from the truth. I have always been a person that did truly treat everyone the same. Regardless of what is said we as a country can not do this. Being "politically correct" is way more important then treating people the same in corporate America. It is a topic no one will discuss but it is true. I did quote a line from a movie with my assistnt manager and everyone that was there thought that it was side busting funny at the time, and I would have said and quoted the same thing in front of any of my friends regardless of color because they are smart enough to realize that it was a quote not something I came up with and it was not being used to offend anyone. The only reason that this was brought to management is because I held the employee accountable for what she did at work. She forgot her purse twice in a customers car, whom she had to call and bother to go and get after hours. She wore velcroe sneakers to work and I made her go home and change them. She was sent to our satelite branch for days at a time, which I told upper management was not a good idea but it was not my choice. She made a comment days before the alligations were made to HR to one of my employees about me not caring about her. That is the story.

Now for the people that have attacked me calling me a racist, a "duche bag", and feel they need to speak about my personal life as a father and husband, I think you are a coward hiding behind your childish screen name. It is amazing how easy it is to talk about someone in a open forum where you can hide. That shows what a man or woman you are. You would never in a million years say these things to my face because you are scared and you know that you are a liar. Grow up move on, and feel free to come forward at anytime, if you are man or woman enough to do so. I am sure who ever made these comments since they know me so well could get a hold of me if they wanted to.

Tad, I used to work with you back in the day. I've been gone a long time, but in the time that I did know and work with you, you were the nicest and fairest Assistant out there. You had plenty to be angry about (Coughlan) and there was nothing wrong with you stirring the pot. I do not believe for a second you are racist, and the fact that your parenting skills were challenged appall me.

To everyone out there: Tad is not a racist and he is also a dedicated father who wants nothing but the best for his family. It is sad that there were some slanderous things that were said, because they obviously didn't know him. Please stop saying negative things about him, they simply just aren't true.

Bottom line, is that Tad hit the point where he was too expensive to keep around. I am sure he saw this happen to others. Doesnt make it right of course, but this is how ERAC does it.

I absolutely agree with you, ERAC will let you go over the most ridiculous of things. The "racist" card was so easy to play, and instead of leveling with him for the REAL reason, they just used that. The unfortunate thing, is that rumors spread like wildfire over there, and it made it to a thread on Failing Enterprise. There were some pretty rough things said about him, and it wasn't cool.
