out of state

hey, does anyone know why we cant take the car out of the state or surrounding states? And how will they know if I do? Is there a tracking device in the cars??

There are no tracking devices on the car. The 'out of state/province' clause is an attemped to limit mileage for an unlimited milege rental, they will never know, but should you get in an accident/break down while out of state you have broken the terms of the contract and you could be responsible for many out of pocket charges. It's just a threat to keep you close to home.

Yes, they will threaten you with all sorts of bad things if you get caught out of the states you specify-even arrest. I guarantee if you complain high enough or take waiver (then remove) they will let you do whatever you want.
